Mr. Tucket by Gary Paulsen is a historical fiction book that was published in 2000. This story about a boy named Francis and for his birthday he was given a rifle. He ventures out into the Rocky Mountains, close to where he lives, and he is captured by the Pawnee Indians. He is tortured and they almost kill him. Someone in the tribe is trying to help free him and they come up with a plan and Francis escapes.

I love this series. It is a great read for middle school boys. There are many things Brian has faced and done, that I can only dream of.
