Another book finished! I love that this volume had a story that we didn't get in the anime 😍 #hour18 #readathon #deweysreadathon @DeweysReadathon

That makes for a good start into my Sunday!

I feel so weirdly in sync with the #24in48 challenges this time around. For the #hour18 #romance challenge, I just finished birthday (fun fact: I got this as a prize at a previous #24in48!) and am about to start fumbled. not sure if birthday is just a romance novel, it‘s also a coming of age story and ya, but it was so romantic! I didn‘t always read much romance, and mystery‘s always been my go-to genre. But recently I‘ve gotten into it more. 📚
#24in48 #hour18 #romancechallenge I read a handful of historical romances in high school and then took a 20+ year break from the genre. I rediscovered romance novels a couple years ago, starting with Penny Reid. I love her “smart romances”. I then went looking for a new historical romance author and discovered Sarah MacLean. I‘ve been hooked ever since. This is some of my print and ebook collection. 😍
Uh-oh...I have to confess: I can count the romance novels I‘ve read on one hand. (if that!) Does Rainbow Rowell or Debbie Macomber count? I get most of my scandalous content from all the celeb memoirs I read. So please give me your rom-com recs, even if they might make my hair curlier! 🤣

It's #Hour18 on the #24in48 #readathon.
#romancelovechallenge
The first English language romance I read was Outlander. A friend had talked me into it. That was 20+ years ago. I used to read a lot of crime/thriller/murder mystery, but have gradually shifted towards romance and historical romance over those two decades.
Nowadays I seem to read more romance than any other genre. Guess I like to see/read other people falling in love.
@24in48
The first book (on the left) is about the author‘s life during the Cambodian Civil War, which I knew next to nothing about, and the second one is a memoir about her life after she emigrated to the US. It made me think more about what it would be like for people adjusting to a whole different culture, especially while trying to deal with the often horrific situations they‘re leaving behind.
