ElizaMarie @Soubhiville Yes, we got him as a rescue in Vermont via Florida (during a big storm). I think the shelter named him Lobster because he came from Florida (actually I never asked why his name was Lobster), anyway, we got him when he was young but... he was just a Lobster - it suited him well. (He is the #HousePanther you see on my posts all the time) 1mo

monalyisha I‘m 99.9% sure they‘ve already gone fine-free and this is mostly for lost or damaged items. They‘ll even accept pictures of other “ungovernable creatures” (e.g. I have a pet house rabbit who definitely fits the bill), and if you don‘t have an animal photo, they‘ll hand you crayons and a blank piece of paper to draw one. They‘ve got a cat/gallery wall. They‘re really just trying to create truly open access, leaving no room for shame. 1mo
vlwelser This seems totally legit and on brand for MA. The BPL stopped charging late fees years ago. They also like to be creative with community engagement. 1mo

monalyisha @monalyisha I don‘t. I lived there ‘til my early twenties but I‘m about an hour, hour & a half away in Rhode Island now. I‘m sure it‘s fantastic, though! 1mo
