panBlech - I stuck with the awkward and overly dense writing to see how it resolved and frankly, the end wasn‘t worth it. It was really difficult to reconcile the culprit with the person you were getting to know, it just didn‘t feel like they were the same person. And frankly, the characters all felt the exact same, I had a lot of trouble keeping them straight.

so-soThis is a fairly short book, but it took me a long time to read because I found it depressing. I did find it interesting that it is somewhat based on Rhys‘s own affair with Ford Maddox Ford.

pickA very interesting book about international adoption mainly US families adopting from China. The author researched a lot of the book in late 2019 and her trips to China at that time made it all the more interesting. #TurnThePage book 1.
I love the idea of a weekend readathon. I hope to finish a few books and make some progress on others. I‘m close to done with Quartet and My Friends, and it‘s almost time for Westfallen to go back to the library. I haven‘t picked up A Tree a Day all month, so I want to remedy that. I‘ll probably listen to some more audio as well.

Began reading The Collector #readyourkindle Thursday, & began listening to to the tagged book yesterday.#audiomystery What We Knew: I am taking slowly. #NF The Book of I: I hope to start- #libraryfind
Book 2 for #turnthepage and book 56 for the year.
Interesting characters who work well together. The mystery was clever but not altogether satisfying. Can‘t really say more without spoiling.
And of course, the dog. He‘s not a magic dog with crime fighting superpowers, but he‘s a solid member of the team who makes his own contributions.
