I honestly could have chosen any number of friendships, including one I adore in the books I'm reading now (the lunar chronicals) but I just got my hermione and Ron funkos and I truly love these three.. I'm totally cheating for today's #AugustPhotoChallenge but only because it's been adapted to books & comics. My fave #bookishfriendship or fave friendship, period, is Mulder & Scully from the X-Files. They have such natural chemistry despite conflicting opinions & are always looking out for each other & playing pranks. I'm a total X-Phile. Also, Gillian Anderson & David Duchovny are both authors now! Plus it's David Duchovny's birthday today! 👽👫

Megabooks It's YA, but it's complex for that group. The two main characters bonded over being X-Philes. It actually kept my mom's interest, and that's hard. 8y

My favorite bookish friendship is the one I share with my better half, @MrBook . It's such a delight to share the joy of reading with the person I'm closest to. We run 4 book clubs together (2 of which are in NYC, 1 of which is a postal book club spanning the globe), attend 3 more, read together, buy books together, fill our home with books together...and, of course, Litsy together. 😉 ❤️📚❤️

Lizpixie You're both so lucky! My hubby is dyslexic and has never read a book in his life, even magazines are hard. He reads a lot better now than when we first met 23 years ago, but he has little interest in books because it's been so hard for him to admit he had a problem, stubborn male pride. I've been thinking about reading aloud to him at night, he likes to come and sit quietly with me while I'm reading before bed, maybe that will peak his interest. 8y
