Like reading a Hugh Grant rom-com. I wondered if it would be too cheesy for my taste and I don‘t always love multiple narrators, but I suspended disbelief and allowed myself to soak up their London world and be taken by Lu and Sarah. Their friendship was a highlight of the book one not always featured in books like this. Fun and sweet read. Years passing marked by Lu‘s New Year‘s resolutions. #booked2018 #featuresaholiday

Reviewsbylola It was really good!! The author wrote in his afterword that he immersed himself in 1854 Victorian London for two years in preparation for writing this book and it clearly showed. He went above and beyond by including a lot of details about the period. @vivastory (edited) 5y
