If anyone in the #FurrowedMiddlebrowClub is also a user of #StoryGraph, I set up a public reading challenge as a place to track my reads. It feels good to see them all in one place & log the ones I own - plus browse all the ones I want! Feel free to search by the words shown above and ‘join‘ - there is no social aspect. Just check off books one read at a time 😉
I will add new titles as they come out once I see their order on the back page. Enjoy!

Ruthiella Thanks! I think I need to consider making the leap from Goodreads to StoryGraph…I just haven‘t found the time. 2y
Kimzey I‘m a Goodreads user. What are the features of Storygraph? 2y
elkeOriginal @Ruthiella This year I have used both to see how I feel but on Jan 1 am going to cut away from GR. Storygraph is giving me what I need. Love the tracking and graphs! 2y

elkeOriginal @Kimzey I have been using both but find myself loving the more nuanced review system in SG plus the amazing graphs it makes of my reading. And the reading challenges like this one I created are a great tracking tool for a series or author - shows the books and your % read of the list. SG is more about recommendations based on what you read and seeing your reading stats. Very little social tho has a cool bookgroup feature. Perfect for list-makers. 2y
elkeOriginal @Ruthiella They make importing your GR read list pretty easy! I was pleasantly surprised. 2y
Kimzey @elkeOriginal I‘m definitely a list maker. I‘ll check it out! Thanks! 2y
quietjenn This is cool! I've not played around much with Storygraph, but I'm inspired to delve into a little more. 2y
LeahBergen I‘ll check it out! 2y
CarolynM I set up StoryGraph but I haven‘t worked it out properly yet. I‘ll have to devote some time to it soon. 2y
elkeOriginal @CarolynM @quietjenn I hope you like it! Feel free to message me over there if you need any tips 😁 2y

Well this is disappointing. It's been a long time... years in fact, since I've fallen behind in my Goodreads challenge. I'm usually ahead of schedule. I don't know what's going on with me. 😫

Sure, it's only one book, but I'm definitely not at my usual pace.

P.S. feel free to add me on Goodreads. https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/46824567-malina-skrobosinski

CrowCAH Sent a request. 3y

This is what I was reading in the lead up to the election and while they were trying to figure out who had won. Elizabeth Warren is sort of famous for not holding anything back. She's also the first female Senator from Massachusetts. She's pretty fierce.

I'm just going to pretend that I'm not a month and a half behind on #Bookspin and #Doublespin and announce that I'm participating once again in the new round. I've added two scary stories for October. We'll see if I'll have to read those. Otherwise they're just for another time.
Out: De teruggekeerden - Jason Mott
Paper towns - John Green
In: Hex - Thomas Olde Heuvelt
Sleepy Hollow - Washington Irving

I‘ll be voting in November for whomever the Democratic candidate is, and after reading this, I‘d be delighted if that person is Elizabeth Warren. Here she gives a history of economics in the US and how policies have either helped or harmed the average American. She‘s smart, knowledgeable, organized, thoughtful, calm, measured…basically everything you know who isn‘t. Good book, great on audio, read with passion by the author.

Librariana Gotta see if I can get my digital hands on this audiobook! Oh, I would be delighted as well if she were to receive the nomination!! 😊💙 5y

My hold for this one came in today, great timing after yesterday‘s miscarriage of justice. Warren‘s passion, anger and knowledge are a balm as she reads this book into my ears. I‘m not very far along, but I‘m really appreciating this capable, competent woman.

Amandajoy There are a lot of her policies that I‘m not sure about, but I think she‘d make a very good president. I think she is probably the most competent and capable candidate. 5y
TheBookStacker I‘m going to get this as soon as I get my library card for my new city. Since I just moved I‘m waiting to get mail that has my new address on it! 5y
Hooked_on_books @Amandajoy I don‘t yet know enough about her policies to comment, but I love that she combines passion with intelligence while remaining cool and collected. She would be a welcome balance to the current shitshow. 5y
Hooked_on_books @TheBookStacker Isn‘t that wait the worst? I hope you get mail very soon! (edited) 5y
