Clare-Dragonfly I was just thinking this couldn‘t possibly be set up by Macaroni because he doesn‘t need to be this subtle when he can just threaten her. And I was proven right! I‘m wondering if her aunt is really dead? Was that the body she saw? And if they thought Ludo was dead and he wasn‘t, could that be the case again? 4w
BarkingMadRead @Clare-Dragonfly I wonder the same. It‘s dark. And she‘s … Emily… so it could totally be a mistake! 4w
mcctrish It‘s dark and she‘s Emily 🤣🤣🤣 doesn‘t macaroni want the aunt dead so he can marry Emily and get the property? 4w
mcctrish @Clare-Dragonfly I‘m pretty sure no one in this story has first aid and it shows 4w
ElizaMarie I am getting super confused with where we are- I get confused when the chapters aren't labeled like just 1, 2, 3.... but when they do Vol and then Ch and then blah! the Crying!!! Where are we!? I thought I was reading #AChapterADay but now I am confused -- anyone have a table? 4w
Bookwormjillk I thought this was a picture of a chicken nugget at first. Have a good trip! @ElizaMarie I don‘t have a tracker for this one sorry. 4w
BarkingMadRead @ElizaMarie we are reading a chapter a day, the book is divided this way, so I‘ve been posting what volume and chapter every day! 4w

Clare-Dragonfly My goodness, she must have been right there! No wonder she fainted! It‘s very strange to me that George picked up and carried the photographs that were covered in blood only to throw them in the river… 1y
Clare-Dragonfly Also, would you add me to the tag list? 1y

BarkingMadRead @Clare-Dragonfly added you! And wtf was he carrying those bloody things around for??? He should have just said they were gone or ruined or something! 1y
Ruthiella @Clare-Dragonfly I think he, like Lucy, was flustered in the moment. Lucy gets over the whole witnessing death thing quite quickly but I think George is more affected than he lets in. 1y
BarkingMadRead @Ruthiella I totally agree, he seems like a sensitive guy 1y
Bookwormjillk I have no idea what is going on but I am enjoying the ride. 1y
mcctrish #nothingeverhappenstome #someonedies is it just us, or are all our books filled with murder? 🤣🤣 1y
dabbe If all that happened with Lucy just going for a walk, what on earth would have happened if she'd actually bucked society and rode the tram? 🤔🤣😊 1y
BarkingMadRead @dabbe omg it would be Armageddon! @mcctrish one can only hope 🤣 (edited) 1y
mcctrish @dabbe 🤣🤣🤣 1y
Bklover Did anyone else interpret George saying he wouldn‘t return to the old life- he wanted to live - at the end of the chapter to mean he was actually enjoying himself and was drawn to Lucy? 1y
BarkingMadRead @Bklover 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ 1y
Bklover Oh, and why must women always FAINT?!?! 1y
dabbe @Bklover Amen, sista! 🤩🤩🤩 1y
Morr_Books Lucy is definitely having quite the adventure so far. I wonder how she will explain her day to Charlotte. 1y
TheAromaofBooks Also I couldn't deal with this chapter being called “The Fourth Chapter.“ All the rest have title names, but apparently Forster couldn't figure out how to summarize “rebellious walker becomes a murder witness“ 😂 1y
BarkingMadRead @TheAromaofBooks your title is so much better 1y
TheBookHippie @TheAromaofBooks 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 1y
TheBookHippie @Bklover it‘s the girdles corsets 🤷🏻‍♀️ 1y
TheBookHippie @Bklover yes I took this as the love bug has bitten him 😅 1y
