*My one goal finish a book this year

#superseptember #readathon #readmyownbooks #reading 📚

Revenge4bess My one goal pay myself $1 a book for every book I finish(so far I have over $400 and I count graphic novels)! 4y
kaysworld1 @Revenge4bess Hey that's amazing. I have been in a bit of a funk lately and with my final exam I just didn't want to read but tonight I have finished and audio book and got my mojo back a bit for reading. 4y
Andrew65 Great to have you with us, good luck 😊👍 4y

#Two4Tuesday Thanks for the tag @TheSpineView !

1. Yes and no. I always participate in reading challenges including #Booked2020 which I co-host. They stretch me to #readmyownbooks and also to try things I wouldn‘t normally try. But 2020? Complete emotional maelstrom in my life. That makes all reading hard, so I‘m just doing my best.

2. Sure! Depending on the realities of life in pandemic land.

Tagging a few friends. Care to play?

TheSpineView I think this pandemic has touch us in unexpected ways. Thanks for playing! 😊😀📚💙 4y

We Were Always Here: A Queer Words Anthology | Ryan VANCE, Michael Lee RICHARDSON
post image

From drag queens and discos, to black holes and monsters, these stories and poems wrestle with love and loneliness and the fight to be seen. By turns serious and fantastical, hilarious and confrontational, We Were Always Here addresses the fears, mysteries, wonders and variety of experience that binds our community together.

#makemereadit #readathon #readmyownbooks #queerbooks #pride @TheReadingMermaid 1 book down

kaysworld1 @jpmcwisemorgan hello there I saw you have stacked this book if you wouldn't mind me asking where do you live? I could send it to you if you want xx 5y
jpmcwisemorgan That‘s so sweet! I live in Austin and I tell you this not so you‘ll send the book. I‘d be happy to read it but I know I won‘t have time to read it and I bet there‘s someone on Litsy who would love to have it who would have the time to read it. 😀 5y
kaysworld1 @jpmcwisemorgan No problem hun. When I'm done with my books they just go to charity anyway. 5y
jpmcwisemorgan That‘s where a lot of mine go too, unless they‘re ebooks and I just keep those forever I guess. 😉 5y

Thank you to everyone who participated in the voting for the return of #AuthorAMonth! Here are the top six authors in order of popularity.

So dig through your stacks or place your library holds! Starting July 1st we‘ll be reading some Margaret Atwood! What‘s your recommendation for any who haven‘t read her before?

Please repost to get the word out, just tag @MinDea since this was originally her thing, and please tag me so I can cheer you on!

Soubhiville Also, let me know if you‘d like to be tagged in reminder posts! I‘ll start a list. 😊📚 6y
Jennick2004 Me!!! 6y
BiblioLitten Even though the most popular one is The Handmaid‘s Tale, my personal favourite is 6y

BiblioLitten I absolutely love the list! 6y
BookwormAHN I'd like to be tagged. Also @BiblioLitten Alias Grace sounds good. 6y
Eyelit This sounds cool! I‘ll ask you about when I see you at book club 😄 6y

rjsthumbelina I would like to be tagged, too! 6y
Kayla.Adriena How does it work? 6y
IndoorDame I'd like to be tagged too! 6y
Soubhiville @Kayla.Adriena it‘s very casual! During each author‘s month, just read titles by them and post using the hashtag. At the end of the month I‘ll start a discussion post that we can all share our reading experiences on. Your own posts can be blurbs, reviews, and/or quotes about the books you‘ve chosen to read. 6y
Soubhiville @BiblioLitten I have Alias Grace sitting on my TBR shelf! I loved the Netflix series! 6y
BiblioLitten The books by the authors should be common or up to the reader? And do we need to read all the works? 6y
Soubhiville @BiblioLitten read anything you want by the author, just one or as many as you‘d like! 6y
BiblioLitten That‘s great. I‘d like to be tagged. Thanks😀 6y
Bookzombie Please tag me. I have only read The Handmaid‘s Tale, Alias Grace, and the first volume of Angel Catbird. 🙂 6y

Well I'm 60 pages in and it's interesting but has kept me engaged to read it.
I'm in this now!! Before I started this I never new about phoenix River maybe it was before my time.
Do you remember him?

#readmyownbooks #celebritydeaths #currentlyreading

Eggs Definitely remember him. Stand By Me 6y
Lauram River Phoenix was dreamy. When I was younger, loved his movie Running on Empty. 6y
rretzler I remember River. He was fantastic in My Own Private Idaho (1991) with Keanu Reeves 6y

kaysworld1 @rretzler that's the one I'm planning on watching soon. 6y
rretzler I haven‘t seen it since 1991, but from what I remember it was a very powerful movie. I may have to rewatch it 6y
gradcat I remember him, too...he really was gorgeous—inside and out. 5y

So for my participation in @DeweysReadathon on Saturday 6th April 19 i will be reading the tagged book hoping to make a dent in it between shifts.

Also I will be keeping track in my journal so I'm not on the internet every 5 minutes being distracted.

Starting this tonight The Radium Girls.
Have you read this?
I have been wanting to read it for a while, here we go.
Thank you @BookNAround for the book 🤗

#readmyownbooks #femalewriters #femaleauthors ♀️🙏📚☕

Erofan I haven't read the book, but I know the story of these girls. So I guess the book is very serious and will be read with a heavy heart. 6y
kaysworld1 @Erofan I'm going to have to research about these ladies because I know nothing. The starting of this book is haunting tho x 6y
IamIamIam The book was a great account of a dark time, no pun intended, in history. Advances in chemistry weren't keeping up with the discovery of the medical drawbacks of using these elements. 6y
kaysworld1 @IamIamIam from what I have read so far it's brutal x 6y

Working on my TBR for February. I have a couple I am finishing up from this month but am excited to get to these. I am working on trying to #readmyownbooks.

BookishMe Similar goal... As I can't stay away from the library, I aim to read at least one of my collection each month 7y
Maria514626 @BookishMe What a great idea—one from your own shelf/month! I‘m in the same boat. My small-town library is really good—but not Colin Firth in P&P good. 😁 7y
