3.5/5🌟 — I don‘t feel like this book stood up to the strong plotlines that book 1 & 2 had. Book 1 was a unique retelling of Beauty & the Beast, while book 2 had fantastic character development & focused solely on Grey. This 3rd book meanwhile was mostly talking & plotting, then when it came for the final battle I found it lacking. It was predictable & I wish a different character had dealt the killing blow. But I did enjoy this series as a whole.
I adored every page! This finale had everything I needed, and I‘m sad it‘s all finished!
This was much better than the second one! I really loved getting all of the characters' perspectives (although I got very tired of Lia Mara blushing every other sentence 😂) It was a nice ending for the trilogy and the author seemed to leave the door open for future books!

I met up with a friend at Barnes and Noble and she gave this book buddy to me - that she made by hand!! She knows I love Beauty and the Beast. My dad was looking for a price tag somewhere because he (son of a seamstress) thought it was done so well it must have been a purchase haha
#serieslove2023 The last book in this series wrapped every story line up nicely although I found the ending slightly anti climactic. There were a few surprises but I‘m still satisfied and glad I read this series. The non beauty and the best storyline easily becomes your favorite (I mean who doesn‘t love Grey?!) and there‘s def a lesson here about leadership and loyalty and sacrifice. 4 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I thoroughly enjoyed this installment.
The pacing &time spent on each viewpoint was more balanced than in the 2nd book.
As it‘s standard YA our romances get romancier but stay closed door. At times the chapter shifts to another character right before any deep introspection can occur which understandably is done to keep it lighter but I would have liked to dig a bit deeper in a few instances.
Overall a magical & addicting series

Started RingMaster but I really wanted to get cracking on the last book of the Cursebreakers trilogy.
I‘m about 60 pages in & I feel like all the character development they flushed in book 2 is making a comeback, so I am excited for that. ⚔️
This is a qualified pick - I think it worked to end the series, but it took way too long for some of the characters to come to somewhat obvious solutions to the problems they found themselves with. I was also left with a few questions.
I really enjoyed this series. It has rekindled my love for fantasy and the characters were great-flawed but ultimately lovable and redeemed.
Probably my least favourite book in the trilogy, but a satisfying ending nonetheless.
I recently finished this wonderful series and I couldn‘t be happier with it! The characters were stunning and the plot was so exciting. And despite how big they are, all three books make for very quick reads.

I have major attachment issues with book series and never want to finish them but I finally forced myself to pick up AVSBAD. The first book will always be my favorite of the series but this was definitely a close second. A very satisfying conclusion.
What I like here is there is a theme of fear and how fear controls the actions of people. The book explores how fear can ruin us and how we can conquer fear. As well as how we can forgive those who have acted in fear.
However, SPOILERS IN THIS PARAGRAPH SKIP AHEAD. Brigid Kemmerer included my least favorite trope, the trope that most people hate. She had to make one of the characters pregnant.
I must admit that I struggled with the pacing in the first half of the book. There were moments when I was enjoying it and other moments when it felt like everyone was just… talking. It wasn‘t incredibly exciting to me. I wanted a bit more action and the second half absolutely delivered on that!

It all seems par for the course, then Kemmerer starts mixing it up & that's when I really engaged. It's when the characters dig into themselves & each other for the truth that this series is at its best, b/c they are better than sitting around sulking at their mistakes & fears. They dive into (sometimes ill-advised) action, ask hard questions & it all leads to a really satisfying, if a bit obvious, conclusion. Really enjoyed this book & series.
Third in the Cursebreakers series by Brigid Kemmerer! I did it! I finished another series…unless she‘s writing another one. This book had a lot more violence in parts, but Gray, Wren & Harper wove their way into my heart as always. This would make a great movie series. 5 stars from me. #100YEARS100BOOKS #78 #BookSpinBingo #16 #BFC21 #5 #TALESandTAILSforADULTS #5 #SERIES2021 #JOYSofJUNE #1 #AUDIOJUNE
Minisaurus is in bed and Tinysaurus wants to be with her Daddy until she falls asleep, so I'm reading while I wait for my next load of laundry. Everyone wins!

Just finished it. Was an good ending but I wish the ending was a little longer.

Prompt: Merciful
Unlike her mother, Lia Mara wants to be a merciful ruler. She struggles with not appearing weak while remaining true to herself.
I was really looking forward to the final instalment in this series because I‘m a hard core fan of Grey. This book didn‘t quite do it for me. I was literally rolling my eyes on some parts and never quite got into the whole Lia Mara and Grey dynamics. I stan Harper and Grey. Lol. It‘s a 3.8 star for me for this one. #review #fantasy
Started this last night. Can‘t wait to finish off this series.
Thus is book 3 in The Curse Breaker series. My least favorite but OK. The first part of the book dragged and the last bit felt rushed. I was not of fan of Lia Mara in this one. I wanted to tell her to put her big girl panties on. I liked the ending. It felt right but there are several unresolved issues. Wonder if there will be a book 4. Town trip wit sis after a while n didn't do too bad found sum nice bits thanx for a gd tym @hannah-leeloo
Normally in trilogies, when we get to the bit that's all politics and war, I get a bit bored and I tore through this. I think it helped that I had gotten to know the players but also these four people had such different approaches and yet in different ways were all trying to think of the bigger picture so watching them work through that was fascinating.
Sticking with the Beauty and the Beast retellings my next read is this. Let's see how these characters are doing. Happy reading everyone 📖❤📚
I didn't want this series to end, but like all good things, it had to. I do not do well when reading a trilogy or series as I tend to get bored. Book one was OMG, book two was GREAT and book three was OK but this is a common pattern of mine. I loved the writing, but parts seemed to drag. It didn't have as big of a punch as the other books. It's still a trilogy I recommend by an author I love.
3 out of 4 are home. Yay! Didn't realise I wasn't getting the dust jacket to a vow book but hey ho. Still looking forward to these adventures and still the last book to come. Yay again. Happy reading everyone 📖❤ 📚 @Jackal121 #dinosaurs #heroes #curses #adventure
Review of the trilogy is on the blog: https://sceptre.sktc.hamburg/2021/02/break-a-curse-or-two-or-three/
Third book, could have been merged with book 2. The outcome of the series was predictable.
Like nearly all YA series, this one will have its fandom for sure.
Woohoo!
Just starting this one. I hope I like it as much as A Curse So Dark and Lonely!
Was planning on making some good progress on this before work and having some me time before the work week. Instead I woke up at 4-something to my neighbor still shouting obscenities about video games 🙃Needless to say I am tired and displeased and will be knocking on a door (fully masked) if this happens again because I‘ve really tried to be understanding up to now and know it could be a form of stress relief. But now it‘s just inconsiderate.

What an amazing end to a great trilogy. I am sad to see Rhen, Harper, Grey, and Lia Mara go. This book had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know how it would all end. I loved how each character‘s chapter was told from their own point of view.

At least I got to the bookstore before the weather hit (as if I didn‘t already have an overflowing TBR). I‘m settling in for a cozy reading day.
Also! If London Fogs bring you joy and contentment, I love this candle from Greyhouse Coffee. My brother got me another for Christmas because I loved my old one so much.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This has to be my favorite out of the trilogy. I like how all four characters have point of views in the book compared to two characters. I love the magic and the relationships. The action was great. The ending felt like there were loose ends, so I‘m hoping a spin off or something happens.

YES! It arrived later than I expected but it's finally here! Happy Book Birthday to the tagged book, which is the last one in this series! 🎉🎉🎉 I am obsessed with these covers! 😍📚💕 #bookmail
Don‘t you love it when you preorder a book then forget that it‘s coming? It‘s like a surprise gift from me, to me! 😁❤️
The weather has begun to turn, allowing cold wind to swoop down from the mountains and sneak under the leather and fur of my jacket.

This is the 3rd and I believe the final book in this series. I have book one and really should read it. I have seen this series given lots of love here on Litsy. Complete the series:
