So excited to start reading this!!
I've picked out my #octoberreads for spooky season. Coraline will be a re-read. I'm very excited about the line up! I'll be writing more about these books on my blog!

What books do you guys plan to read?
Really liked the idea/concept behind the book. Maybe I made the mistake of watching the movie version first but I didn't enjoy the book as much as I thought I might. There are a lot of differences between the book and the movie. Somethings I preferred in the movie and others the book. Was still enjoyable and creepy lol

I loved this graphic novel but it really did have some triggers for me personally. This novel is about PTSD in regards to a specific event and the way each story is told is unique. If you're looking for something different and real feeling this is a great read. Just be aware of triggers!!

I was exploring a flea market and stumbled upon this lovely find ❤️ it's copyright is 1955. Not the oldest book I've come across but I've been searching for a Robin Hood for a while.
Went to B&N to pick up the next manga in my current series and couldn't help but stop by the book haul tables haha. I'm honestly super excited about Girls of Paper and Fire as well as The Magic Misfits. Loved the first Misfits and I've heard good things about paper and fire.
What are your opinions on the books I grabbed?
#bookhaul
1. I have a lot of favorite memories but one of the top of the tops ones would have to be spending the summer at my grandma's house when I was little. We used to walk to the library, get books and goosebump movies. She recently passed so maybe that's why I think of this one first.
2. 1 older brother, 2 older step sisters, 2 younger half brothers
3. A couple months ago?
4. No books are near me sadly ☹️ in my office

So not long ago I signed up with Used Book Monthly and today I got my first package! When signing up I pretty much check every genre they offered and wanted to be surprised by what they sent. Well I'm surprised! Haha I'm honestly excited because both sound interesting and I wouldn't have picked them up on my own. Can't wait to see what I get next month!

Finished reading this book for the nth time. Every time I read this I learn something new about myself. I relate to Charlie so much that sometimes reading the novel can be hard. This will always be one of my favorite books and I will continue to read it every year. I'm not sure if I've related to a novel as much as this one.

One of my favorite things about used books are the notes and markings previous owners will make. 😊 I'm not one to mark in a book myself but I love seeing what other people found important.
1. I love all three but hiking has a special place in my heart, so rural
2. Mountains 🏔️
3. Hiking or running
4. Camping
5. The tagged book as well as The Good Girls Guide to Getting Lost
#hellothursday @wanderinglynn
1. A calico cat named Callie
2. Visiting my dad and grandma 💙 also reading by the river that's at my dad's house
3. Costume design!
4. New York City, Zion national park, somewhere in Maine
5. If you could live in any book setting, what would you choose?

I'll have to edit this review later since Litsy doesn't seem to have it in their list, but I really enjoyed this graphic novel. It's a very sweet and innocent story about Ari, a Greek boy whose family own a bakery, who wants to leave and move to the city. In order for him to do so he has to find a replacement for his family and that's how he meets Hector. Hector makes Ari question everything about wanting to move away and what his passion is.
Finished this book and was a big fan. The stories are so captivating and beautiful. I think my favorite was Thailand. These stories are set at the same time as the 1995 Kobe earthquake which was devastating to Japan so a lot of the stories are very dark or have dark undertones. So if you are easily triggered I'd pass on this book.

I'm super excited because I started a subscription to Used Book Monthly 😀. I've been wanting to sign up for a monthly book subscription but as weird as it may sound I didn't want new books, I want used lol.
Which is why I'm so excited about this subscription! I will get sent 2 random used books a month for $10 😆😆
If you are interested here's a link via my referral or go to their website 😊

I LOVED this book lol. Not only did it contain a lot of relatable material but it also had me rolling with laughter.
I actually made the mistake of listening to this when trying to workout. I kept laughing aloud and disturbing or confusing others in the gym.
It was wonderful. I'll probably read it again.
Congrats @TheReadingMermaid for reaching such a follower milestone! I'd love to give any fiction, sci-fi or fantasy novels you have a new home 😆
Again, congrats!

This book was really cute but was your typical YA romance novel. I did like how it was centered around a comic convention, made it a bit more fun. Nothing really wrong with the story but nothing stood out too much either. It was a simple read and was honestly the kind of read I was looking for.
Hey guys! I'm needing help searching for a specific poem and could really use your help.
It's a poem about a mother who is pregnant, has the child and then they live life and the child becomes pregnant later.
I know that may sound odd and not much to go off of. But we are trying to find it for my grandmother's funeral on Monday. I guess it was her favorite poem but we are struggling to remember it...

Finished reading this one today and loved it. I've always been a fan of Anna Kendrick but it took me a while to read her book. I loved how she wrote this it allows you to really get a more realistic feel for her. While her stories are uniquely hers, I could relate to a lot of the things she wrote about. Definitely feel in love with her more lol
Finally finished this memoir! It's really a fascinating read. It gave so much insight to what it's like to be in the book industry in modern day society. Lots of laughs, sarcastic sass and so much more in this one. Loved it.
I also used this as a book with a plant on the cover for the pop sugar reading challenge.
#popsugarreadingchallenge
One of my favorite quotes ❤️ I personally have to constantly remember that my battles, big or small, are just as important and don't mean anything less because someone else is having a harder time.
Perks of being a wallflower is one of my favorite books. I'm honestly a bit upset because after moving to a new apartment I can't find my copy ? so off to the used book store to find a new one.
Remember "enjoy it. Because it's happening"
I finally finished this novel after what seems like forever lol. My schedule was just so busy I didn't have time to read. One thing I love about Neil Gaiman's novels is that he has such dark environments but everything still seems so light. I don't know how he does it. I really enjoyed the story of Bod and his very unique life living in a graveyard being raised by ghosts. The life he loves is unique, a little lonely but still filled with love.
Hope you can read this haha. Was tagged by @kaye to do a #20thingsaboutme thingy so here are my 20 things 😊
One thing I didn't put was my favorite genre mostly because I read pretty much everything lol
I realize that it cut off a line but The Good Earth was the first nice my mother bought me. I think I was 13.
I'm not sure who all to tag, so if you're interested in participating please do!
My birthday was recently and as a gift to myself I got a tattoo referencing one of my absolute favorite series, Harry Potter ⚡. I wanted to try and incorporate the house colors but instead of red we did more of an orange for Gryffindor. I absolutely love it ❤️ do any of you have book tattoos?

I'm new to Litsy and thought I'd share what I am currently reading as a first post 😊
Currently I'm reading a Memoir by Shaun Blythell titled The Diary of a Bookseller and I'm in love with it.
It's a fantastic read and has me laughing out loud constantly. The memoir is written as a daily entry diary and provides such insight as to what it's like to be a bookseller.
