This book is witty and clever, much like its author. No matter how dark the topic, from drugs to a gay man dying in her bed, she never made me sad enough to cry because she‘d quickly recover with some quick wit and make me laugh again. Excellent writing and an easy read. Highly recommend, especially to anyone who loves the Star Wars series.

It is hard to pick between so-so or a good pick for this one. Basically, I had to push myself to get through this and I‘m not sure if it is simply just because I am not used to teenager problems and young adult novels anymore or if it is just hard to push through in general. However, it is a really interesting concept of 3 triplet queens born that have to battle for the throne. I will also say the ending makes me want to read the sequel.

Scochrane26 Sounds interesting 5y
Godpants I didn‘t love this book when I stared it, but the twist made me check out the next one, which I liked a lot more. I think the series is overall quite fun. 5y

Honestly, worth a read if you have a little extra time, but I wouldn‘t go out of my way to read it. It‘s an interesting story about re-finding your roots and there also seems to be a sort of subliminal message about how messed up our society is becoming because we lie to look good on social media (or as celebrities). Let‘s say 3/5 for this one.

Hilarious and well written! This book is honestly so good, I had trouble putting it down. I love the how it gives every little character perspective so well. The tv show is actually a very good representation of the book as well. Definitely an A+ to both.

Aims42 A top favorite of mine!! I‘m watching the Amazon series now and enjoying it too 😊 5y

Honestly, jumping in to a book about self improvement and basically becoming the best you, I was pretty skeptical. I figured I would be bored or just laugh at the motivational speaker.
I was so wrong. This book was truly inspiring and really made me look deep within myself. I‘m not usually huge on audiobooks but having been so busy and having a one year old as well, audiobooks have become so helpful for getting a good book in.

An amazing representation of what occurred during the Russian revolution. It is a fantastic story and such a quick and easy read. I highly recommend this one. If you don‘t already know about the Russian revolution, this will make you want to learn more about what happened. This was a great re-read for me.

This book is amazing but I feel like it requires a ton of my focus and when you have a 1 year old running around you all day, it‘s hard to find the time to truly sit and focus in. I‘m still going to keep working on it and the rest of the series following it, but gotta knock some more books off my list along the way.

This book was so incredible. It is told from the perspective of a 5 year old boy who had no education, but I think this perspective truly adds to the story. It is a beautiful book about a terrible situation, but also the beauty of life and the world around us. Sometimes I forget how much I have in life that I take for granted. This book helps put our blessings in perspective. Sadly, things like this actually happen in our world. Such a good book.

I was so excited to read this one, it has been on my list to read for so long. I‘ve heard so many amazing things about it. It‘s on virtually every thriller/mystery list I‘ve ever seen and everyone seems to love it. So, imagine my disappointment when I finished it and the beginning that got me hooked was never even explained or readdressed after the new case was solved. Then add in that it was a very obvious ending, this book really let me down.

I‘ll just put all the series in this one post-
This comic series was so creepy and fascinating. I loved them all. If you‘ve watched the show on Netflix, this is similar to that, but has so many differences as well so it constantly keeps you on your toes and wondering what comes next. Beautifully drawn and well written, this series is definitely worth a read.

I devoured this book. It had me hooked right from the start and kept me there until the very last line on the very last page. There‘s more twists and turns than you can possibly expect. This was a really well written and intriguing story and there are surprises about each of the characters all along the way. Everyone has their secrets in this book and some people have more dangerous secrets than others.

I think this is an important book to read whether you support Trump or can‘t stand him. It is full of well written and eloquent stories from women who felt personally devastated upon hearing the news that such a rude, sexist, and racist human would be running the United States of America for the next four years. I‘m sure I‘ll get some negative feedback for this one, but it‘s worth a read, no matter your views.

I just could not get into this one! It is kind of long winded and not enough happening. I made it almost 200 pages in and just wasn‘t feeling it. I tried to force myself to keep going but I have other books on my list to read so I‘m just giving up on this one. If you like historical romance types of fiction, though, this book is probably great for you. I‘m not a huge romance or history person so I‘m bailing.

Sarah24 I really struggled with this one too. Being a glutton for punishment, I made it to the end but still prefer the tv programme. 6y

Words can‘t even begin to describe how quickly I devoured this book. The secrets that pop up and confuse you all throughout keep you intrigued and needing to know more. This was honestly one of the best suspense books I‘ve read. I didn‘t suspect the end until I was almost upon it and normally I can guess things pretty early on. Upon finishing Before I Go To Sleep, I sat there for a minute and just let it all sink in. Amazing.

Such a fantastic mix of stories and recipes. Reese Witherspoon is amazing. I love how she‘s such a huge advocate for strong women and this book is a fantastic example of where her strength of character comes from. Once you add in all the delicious southern recipes, this book is a knockout. It‘s been on my to read list and now it‘s on my to buy list so that I can always have it on hand.

The parts about the actual behavioral science are fantastic and incredibly interesting, but the author adds way too much of his personal life and backstory. It just takes away from what I think the main focus of the book should be. However, overall it is a really interesting read. If you like shows like Criminal Minds or Mindhunter, they both have a lot of things taken from this book. (Mindhunter is actually based off this book)

This was such a quick and interesting read! (Granted, reading comics tends to go by super quickly.) The art work was unique and added so much to the story. I was really intrigued by the show and then finding out that Gerard Way was the author of these comics, I had to read them! The comics add to the show and the show adds to the comics. They‘re super complimentary of each other and I highly recommend both this new Netflix series and these comics.

I‘m giving this one a top pick rating, but I have to say, the middle of the book was pretty tedious. It started out strong and re-hooked me at the end, but that middle got pretty boring at times. The first book of this series was infinitely better than this second installment, but I will give it a good rating. The craziest thing to me was that the ending actually had me more hooked than the beginning. I‘d probably give it a 6-7/10, overall.

I kept trying and trying to get into this one and ended up only being able to read one or two pages each time before I had to put it down. I really wanted to read this series because I enjoy the television show loosely based off of it, but I just couldn‘t get into it. It‘s pretty rare that I bail on a book, but this one was just not holding my interest.

Such an insane story- A genius takes the problem of overpopulation and finds a solution that he‘s trying to force on the world. In the race to stop his cure for overpopulation, we follow our characters on an incredible chase, trying to solve the puzzle he has left behind before it is too late. I know some people have an odd stigma against Dan Brown, but I fall more in love with his writing with each book of his I read, this one being no exception.

If you‘ve seen this show on Netflix, it‘s one that I can honestly say didn‘t deviate too horribly far from the book. This book is intensely creepy and there were many parts where I just cringed at the way this man thinks life is and thinks of his girlfriend. The main characters are all a bit twisted, each in their own way, making for a story that hooked me right from the start and didn‘t let go, even after I was finished reading.

As a parent, this book was even more heart wrenching than it would have been before I gave birth to my little man. It shows you what being the parent of a really ill child is like. It‘s told from the perspective of each character, so you get a good feel for everyone‘s side of the story. The ending was incredibly unexpected and honestly, it made me cry. If you need a good cry from a well written story, this is a great book to turn to. I loved it.

You definitely need to be very interested in Ancient Rome and August Caesar to make it through this book, or just be a huge history buff. It was really interesting but definitely a heavy read, and if you aren‘t 100% into it right off the bat with this one, you probably won‘t make it through it. I found it a bit tedious at times because I do not enjoy most historical things, but I do love a good biography and this one was fascinating in many ways.

From the very first line, I was hooked on finding out more. This book is very gruesome and gory, sticking with the horror genre of the great Stephen King, but I think the most horrifying part is how realistic this story is. Killer clowns & girls with magical powers do not exist in our world, but individuals with severe psychosis do. Overall, an addicting story about a man‘s survival instinct and the need for a writer to finish what he‘s started.

This book was an incredible read. It is told from the perspective of Alice, a Harvard professor that has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer‘s disease. Hearing the story from the perspective of the person who‘s brain is deteriorating, makes it all the more interesting. We see her memory lapses so clearly from her own point of view and watch as she slowly loses a big part of herself to this awful disease. This book both made me laugh and cry.
