Loved Colum McCann's latest. You will, too.
Love Story Saturday. Which have you read? #romance #romancebooks
Little late to the party, but sure enjoyed THE MEASURE by Nikki Erlick.
Thank you, my friends: 51,000 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews on Goodreads . Is it time to discover (or rediscover) the novel about a home birth, a midwife on trial, and a young girl coming of age in Vermont that first introduced my work to so many of you? @DoubledayBooks
This is among the most highlighted passages from THE JACKAL‘S MISTRESS. Yes, to mourn is to love. Happiest of Sunday mornings, my friends.
My gosh, I loved the brilliant Garrett Graff‘s latest. This book is riveting and important.
Happy 117th birthday to William Saroyan, the brilliant Armenian-American writer of screenplays, plays, novels, and short stories —. a winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and an Academy Award. He is a role model for me for dozens of reasons, but a big one is the sheer volume of his work. Only a fraction of what he wrote did he deem good enough to share with the world.
I am deeply alarmed by the state of the U.S. Many of you are, too. So, let‘s learn about fascism — a book club, perhaps. But, if nothing else, book suggestions. Let‘s start with WHAT WE KNEW: TERROR, MASS MURDER, AND EVERYDAY LIFE IN NAZI GERMANY.
Trust me, you will love WE ARE ALL GUILTY HERE by the brilliant Karin Slaughter.
I just did something I tell younger writers NEVER to do, and I‘m kind of glad I ignored my usual advice: I peeked at the number of stars for one of my books online and found. . .this. So, I want to thank you, my readers: I am so glad you‘re enjoying THE JACKAL‘S MISTRESS, my Civil War Romeo and Juliet! You‘ve helped make my weekend!
Color me grateful to see THE PRINCESS OF LAS VEGAS here! Thank you, Jen Craven! 10/3 can‘t come soon enough!
My gosh, I love the work of S.A. Cosby . You will, too.
At least once a season, I read or re-read a classic.
Sunday question. Just curious, of my 23 books, which are your favorites? No pressure — not an exam! 📚
There are dozens of reasons why I love Vermont. 🍁But a big one? Vermont readers. 📚I thank you for your faith in my work going back 30 years — and for this Daisy🌼 Color me grateful. Also? Thank you, Seven Days. I‘m so deeply honored.
Put this banger of a book on your list of novels you want to read in 2026!
Yes, I loved DREAM STATE. You will, too. @DoubledayBooks
Huge thanks to the Barnes & Noble in South Burlington, VT. I was so honored to wander in this week and find this display for THE JACKAL‘S MISTRESS. So (yes), I signed so many books! #romance #lovestory #bookstore
Another wonderful novel from Taylor Jenkins Reid.
Pause for the paws. Really loved Julie Klam‘s memoir of her years as a Boston Terrier rescue volunteer.
Really honored: The Jackal‘s Mistress is among BookBub‘s “most wishlisted” books so far in 2025. Thank you! Thanks also to Doubleday Books for that beautiful image!
Yes, I devoured Janelle Brown‘s new novel. You will, too.
Yes, I absolutely loved Stephen King‘s latest, NEVER FLINCH. You will, too.
I love reading the New York Times Book Review on Sunday. But I especially love it when there is a wonderful review of one of my novels. Deepest thanks to the editors at the NYTBR, critic Alida Becker, and Doubleday Books: “The true story of a wounded Union officer saved by a Confederate woman amid the shifting battle lines in the Shenandoah…[Bohjalian] returns to this historical material, adding imaginative twists to the original story line.”
It was 250 years ago that our great experiment with democracy began. So, I read the first volume in Rick Atkinson's wonderful history of the Revolutionary War.
Yup. I absolutely loved HAPPY LAND by the brilliant Dolen Perkins-Valdez. You will, too!
@BerkleyPub
Yes, I devoured THE WEDDING PEOPLE. This book is an absolute banger.
It‘s National Library Week! Libraries rock; librarians rule!
Brilliant AND funny AND very insightful. Loved it.
Yes, this is what “cloud nine” looks like to a novelist. Deepest thanks to all my readers and to @DoubledayBooks So very grateful that so many of you are meeting THE JACKAL‘S MISTRESS. What other historical fiction have you loved lately?
I was hypnotized by BROKEN COUNTRY. You will be, too.
My gosh, I love the work of the always brilliant Karin Slaughter. You will, too.
I love the Barnes & Noble in Union Square, NY. Just signed so many books. Nearby? My cursive is banger!
With the brilliant — and howlingly funny — Karin Slaughter this week. We had a blast. Her latest, THIS IS WHY WE LIED, is among my very favorites. But I FORGOT to wear my Will Trent vest! In any case, hoping you‘re all enjoying THE JACKAL‘S MISTRESS!
Want a signed copy of the novel the Boston Globe called “top-notch” and the Minneapolis Star-Tribune called “heart-pounding?” Your bookstore might have some copies left if you pop in or call them soon!
“24 Works of Fiction to Read This Spring” in the New York Times Book Review. Among them? THE JACKAL‘S MISTRESS ( Doubleday Books ).. Gobsmacked and grateful. Available wherever you buy your books. Full list here: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/12/books/new-fiction-books-spring-2025.html?smid...
Continuing the countdown of my books, from 1st to 25th, THE JACKAL‘S MISTRESS. Today it‘s my 22nd: HOUR OF THE WITCH (2021), historical fiction inspired by the first divorce in North America for domestic violence -- a novel that builds a climactic Boston witch trial.
I love any book that teaches me a new word such as "shitgibbin."
So grateful for these early reviews! THE JACKAL‘S MISTRESS arrives in days! I can‘t wait for you to meet her!
