My jury duty companion today
I met Rainn Wilson!
Mini Costco haul. Has anyone read The Clackity? It's delightful so far!
The Dating Plan is the definition of contemporary rom-com. It's a light, fun read with some steamy bits. The main characters, Daisy and Liam are likeable, and while the storyline is a bit formulaic, there are a few surprises that make it feel fresh. I definitely recommend it for the hopeless romantics out there.
Nicely paced with a ton of fun red herrings. I liked The Guest List a bit more than this one because it was a quicker read, but this is still a pick for me!
#UnpopularOpinion Overall, I liked this book, but it was much too slow, and I wasn't a fan of the alternating timelines. I found myself wanting to skip the parts set in the 1700s, and the first 100 pages could have been condensed to maintain the pace of the rest of the book.
I happened upon a sale yesterday at a used bookstore. Each of these was only $1.oo 😍😍😍
I tore through this book. Part sci-fi, part romance, part dystopian adventure, The Space Between Worlds is such an engaging genre-bending read.
My current stack! 📚
Thanks for tagging me @DarcysMom 💛
1. Books!
2. Coffee, iced, all day every day
3. This is a tough one, but savory snacks have my ❤
4. @RavenclawReads bc I love your username 😊
I couldn't resist! I loved Much Ado about Mean Girls, so I had to get a copy of this one too. 💛
I loved this book! I couldn't put it down. Also pictured here is the book biter from my last post.
I left my book open and unattended for 2 minutes, and my cat took a sneaky bite out of it. 😫
Houlahan should design rollercoasters because that is exactly what reading Norco ‘80 felt like in all the best ways. The pacing was at times a slow build and at others, a fast-paced dive and barrel roll through the events of a bank robbery gone wrong. I wouldn‘t recommend the audiobook as there are too many names and details to remember, but this little piece of history is truly fascinating. I will never look at Hamner and Fourth St. the same.
My latest impulse buy! I live just south of Norco, and I used to work for a bank in Norco! Needless to say, I cannot wait to dive into this.
Barnes & Noble sent me an email with these recommendations, and I want them all! Have any of you lovely Littens read these yet?
So far, I am loving this thrift store find! ❤️
These illustrations are gorgeous! Each one is a breathtaking little surprise
I'm not usually a huge fan of Romance as a genre, but I thoroughly enjoyed Bringing Down the Duke. It is a quick, light read and very much like an overtly sexual Pride and Prejudice.
Common shares what life has taught him about love in every sense of the word. He writes from a place of humility and openness. While I understand that this is a memoir, it felt too introspective, as if each chapter was a journal entry. While others may connect more with this format, it was a bit too circular for me. I think this would be better as an audiobook, and while it fell flat for me, we can all benefit from the overall message.
I did not meet my reading goal for 2019, like not even close. In part, I blame the fact that I started playing the piano again, but I also just fell into a reading slump. Recursion has officially lifted me out of that slump for 2020. I‘m about 30 pages in, and I can‘t put it down!
Found this at Powell‘s! Such a weird, dark, fascinating read— perfect for October
One of the best impulse-purchases I‘ve ever made
This was cute! If you‘re looking for a quick, cutesy, chick-lit type of read, give this a chance. The English major/ Shakespeare nerd in me truly enjoyed it despite its predictability.
I really enjoyed this. Definitely read The Magicians before you read Alice‘s story.
My August picks! Can‘t wait! #botm #bookofthemonthclub #littlebluebox #bookmail
While not as good as Last Time I Lied or Final Girls, it still kept me up until 3am. This page-turner is definitely worth a read if you enjoyed Sager‘s first two thrillers.
Help, Littens! I am a little under half-way through this book, and I am struggling to maintain interest. I have heard such wonderful things about this book, but, for the life of me, I‘m not sure I can finish this book. Should I stick with it?
My first ever audiobook! Thank you @DarcysMom I finished it today, and I completely agree with you: it‘s fantastic and definitely written for #murderinos #ssdgm
A child thinks he‘s training/ playing a game and unwittingly massacres an alien race
I seem to be on a #nonfiction journey this year. I‘m totally behind on my #goodreads reading challenge already, but I like to take my time with nonfiction reads.
1. Tagged! I‘ve been in a book slump lately, but the tagged book has really rekindled my desire to read
2. Captain America
3. Always iced coffee

#thriftstorefind Loving this so far! One of my best thrift store purchases to date.
First book I finished for 2019. I really enjoyed this fast-paced sequel.
Barnes & Noble got me again! And the Vengeful copy is signed!
Impulse buy! I love when classic works are turned into graphic novels
Picked this up for $1 at my local library‘s used bookstore 😍🤓
Finished my Goodreads Reading Challenge!
