@PuddleJumper here is my #roll100 for January! I have to read Overture towards the end, because it‘s part of the body of my book snowman ⛄️ #thingsyouneverthoughtyoudsay
#BigJuneReadathon @Clwojick
Another beach read. The plot was not anything special, a fake engagement because it benefits both parties. However, I did like the characters especially Daisy. The story had some funny moments and the meddling Aunts was a great touch to the story. 3.5 ⭐️

2️⃣ The Cartographers, it felt like there was more to the story.

I liked this. Easy read, like a hallmark movie in print. Different from what i normally go for, which is why i liked it. Predictable and enjoyable. The characters were fun.
You inspired me to paint my nails but I only have the one bottle so I‘m not as colorful.
An average love story. Some plot points were simply glazed over too quickly and didn‘t have enough reaction for the depth that they required.
This was a cute romance that spoke to the importance of family. Daisy‘s family was too nosy and Liam‘s family just didn‘t seem to know how to connect. As someone with a big nosy family, I felt Daisy‘s mix of love and frustration towards her relatives. I also really appreciated her deep love of the Marvel movies.
CW: physical and emotional abuse (past memories), abandonment
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I don‘t have much to say about this one, good or bad. An average contemporary romance.
Book 87
I listened to The Dating Plan by Sara Desai. It's a rom-com about childhood family friends that have a "meet-cute" as adults. Though they pretend to be engaged, it's not a super engaging story. When looking for a beach read, I don't plan to return to this author.
⭐⭐
This was a really fun book- I‘m so glad I read with this #LMPBC group- I typically do not choose romance because I‘m picky in the genre but I enjoyed these choices.
So much fun! Read it in one day and really enjoyed it. I‘m a sucker for a good love story, and this was wonderful!
I actually read The Marriage Game in preparation for reading this one for #LMPBC. Even though it's just a loose sequel (totally can be read alone) I'm weird about book orders 😂 This one was also great fun & I was so happy to see the Patel family back in action. I had a few minor niggles that annoyed me (they're in a fake relationship to fool people, yet CONSTANTLY talk about how it's fake with those people like in the next room??) but overall ⬇️
After a couple of serious reads I needed something lighter. This was just the thing. Fun with lots of Indian Food and Happy Ever After.
Plus it looked great with last week's Farmer Flowers. ❣

"Shoes made an outfit" Brilliantly Smart Girl and Shoes. One Chapter in and I'm loving. ???

Hey @Laughterhp - I got the next #LMPBC book yesterday!! I'm excited to read this one!! @hes7 @Chrissyreadit
Travelled to San Francisco with this book.
(Can I do the real thing next year? Please pandemic...)
Stayed up late last night to finish this one. This one was so fun and I definitely laughed out loud a few times reading this one.
I really loved Daisy and her family. Don‘t want to say too much more since it‘s an #LMPBC book. But I definitely recommend this one.
Liam and Daisy- I really had fun watching these two come together. It‘s one of those where I was willing to bet my lunch money things would turn out just as they did - and it was completely satisfying to read the story unfold.
I liked this book, and while it‘s exactly what I expected (a contemporary rom-com with the fake dating trope), I guess I was hoping for a little something more.
Daisy and Liam are both fun characters, and I loved the heat between them, but some of their quirks were pushed a bit over the top. It was predictable, but it was a great distraction. So yay for romance!
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Stayed up all night to finish this because I just couldn‘t stop until the end!
Daisy was a little annoying with her “plans“ but I enjoyed the sweet romance. Second chances are the best. Liam just struck me as an ordinary guy who was just dealt a crap hand in life. I am happy they were able to work out their issues and be together.
April Book 5/25 #LitsyLove
Overall, I liked this book and it was fun that the universe continued with Daisy's story. I did think that the issues were too quickly resolved whenever they arose, from the brother relationship to even the accident. It was a fun read though and when they said “Humraaz“ ... swoon.
Fake dating is my kryptonite, so I obviously enjoyed many of the tropey shenanigans here, but I wanted to like the book as a whole more than I actually did. Daisy's characterization felt at times a little too ~nerdy and quirky and not like other girls~ and some of the obstacles thrown in her and Liam's way (especially towards the end) were over the top in an unbelievable way rather than in a fun romance way. Out March 16.
This book was way off my normal genre pick, but I really enjoyed it. Great characters and believable plot- this is a ROM-Com. The banter was really entertaining. A fun, light read!
This was almost a so-so, but it made me cry. It's rare that a book makes me cry so it was an automatic pick. I have problems really enjoying contemporary romance and I don't why. I wanted to expand my reading horizons but I don't think contemporary romance is really for me. It was a cute story and I can see why so many people enjoyed it. #botm #read #contemporaryromance

Popsugar Challenge #3
I've already gushed just a little bit about how much I adore this romance, but let me go on just a little longer. It's so cute and wholesome with Daisy managing to be a wonderful, quirky, nerdy heroine without falling into the trap of the manic pixie dreamgirl.

Another Reader's Advisory moment from your friendly neighborhood librarian.
I'm mostly doing this because this is another title that reminds me a lot of a favorite novel that's difficult to find comps for. However, The Dating Plan reminded me so much of Bet Me and that thrilled me to no end! If your liked Daisy and Liam's banter and flirty dance, you will love Min and Cal.

Cute and predictable, but all rom-coms are and it's usually expected. The characters were likable, relatable and developed well. The writing tripped me up a few times; there were many sentences that should have been worded better. I cringed every time "thick finger" was used and will be happy if I never hear it again. Some scenes and dialogue were long winded, and the conclusion felt dragged out. The story was entertaining it will not be memorable.
One of my favorite contemporary romance tropes is heroines with great taste is shoes!

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨3.5 stars. A little spicier than I was expecting from #BOTM, but one of my favorite things about this book is not the common storyline of a fake fiancé(e), but the confident protagonist, Daisy, who is an Indian-American coder & a part of a family that celebrates their vivid culture. Of course, as a modern woman in America, there are some traditions that she rejects, but she still has an appreciation of her culture & celebrates it.
Perfect way to kick off a Valentines weekend of reading. A really sweet romance and an easy read.

I decided to do something a little different with my #tbr and leaving what I read up to fate(most of the time). I thought it would be fun. I created 2 wheels, one for my physical books and one for kindle of the books I want to read this year. I'm sure I will add and take away as my mood changes.
First up is The Dating Plan. Perfect pick for this month and helps me put a slight dent in my #botm pile. #currentlyreading #romance #contemporaryromance
I know it‘s only February 3rd but I‘m already bailing on my #Bookspin for this month. I made it about 100 pages and was bored silly. I don‘t mind the tropes and cliches if the writing is good and the characters are clever. Not the case here. On to my #Doublespin!
I have a #progresspic of my library/plant/betta room! I‘m still moving everything around but with shelves going up, plans for my wall unit going into place, and plant shelves coming in the mail, overall I‘m excited for the bits of progress, no matter how small☺️🪴📚
Wrapping up ‘Mindhunter‘ tonight and need to finish ‘The Devil in the White City‘ this week to send out for #lmpbc so I‘m trying to work in a lighter fiction book to wrap this week/month up.
But what to pick 🤔 I‘m leaning toward my BOTM
And that‘s a wrap on #bookspinbingo for this month! I am so glad that #botm did an early release of The Dating Plan. I read The Marriage Game by the author last year and loved Daisy in that book. I was so excited to see she was getting her own book. I loved seeing Daisy get her happy ending. I am a sucker for fake dating and fake fiancé‘s.
This picture says it all. It is Saturday, my husband is installing speaker in our living room, making this room chaotic. The kids are watching Discovery+, and I just finished this book. Yes, Oreos were involved.
I picked this book up because these past months have me craving light hearted reading. It was exactly what I needed to fill that craving. Plus, it fulfilled one of the points on my #52booksin52weeks challenge. @Andrew65 #JoyousJanuary
The Dating Plan is the definition of contemporary rom-com. It's a light, fun read with some steamy bits. The main characters, Daisy and Liam are likeable, and while the storyline is a bit formulaic, there are a few surprises that make it feel fresh. I definitely recommend it for the hopeless romantics out there.
I JUST finished Legendborn and holy crow; it was amazing! Great start to the new year with a five star read, so hopefully this one keeps the streak alive!
I needed a book like this during these crazy times ❤❤
This is a cute romance. However, I enjoyed "The Marriage Game" so much more. While Liam and Daisy have great chemistry, I wasn't wowed by it. As a matter of fact, I found myself rushing to get to the end. I don't know if it was me or the book but I'll just give "The Dating Plan" a rating between a "pick" and a "so so".
I absolutely loved everything about this book! The characters were so fun, the plot was so attention grabbing, and it was a great read overall. It kept me turning pages the entire time and I never wanted to put it down. There were times when I audibly laughed out loud and times that made me cry. I highly recommend this book! 5/5 🌟s for me! #botm
