JoeMo Ten-year anniversary?? 😂 It makes sense as I remember reading that to my nephew seven or so years ago. I remember it cracking him up and me wondering why young kiddos loved relatively weak fart jokes so much!! 2y

MatchlessMarie @Ruthiella 😜 @JoeMo I know! I saw that too and was like why haven‘t I ever seen this before? I‘m in my 30s and I think I like them as much as my 11 year old 😅 but it was really the illustrations that put it over the top 2y

This book came out 18 years ago, and I have to say, it still holds up. I know many children‘s librarians were confused by my love of this wonderful pup, but I can't help it. Maybe he reminds me of my past and present stinky dogs, maybe he reminds me of a few family members, but I am not ashamed to say I love Walter the Farting Dog and all his adventures. About the only thing that dates this book is the reference to the VHS player.

IamIamIam And then along came Dav Pilkey and librarians realized kids love toilet humor, LOL! This is a classic! 5y

I liked Walter and I can definitely get why my kids think this book is hilarious but it‘s just not my thing- not my preferred art style either. And since I have no picture for this book I‘ll just put a pic of my own rescued pup.

We picked this up when my in-laws went on a cruise and my daughter loved it. A funny story about a farting dog who stinks up the cruise ship. The art is vibrant but the way the faces were drawn is a little creepy.

Has anyone read this book? I had never seen this book before, but I took a trip to the local book shop tonight and found it. I laughed so loud, so if you were the few in #gramercybooks tonight, I apologize for how obnoxious I was, I couldn't stop laughing. I'm looking forward to giving this to my niece. I can't wait to see my sister in law be uncomfortable as she reads it, haha!
