Enjoyed this even more than the first one. 👍🏼 And now my wife and I can watch the tv series.

She is as addicted to British detective tv series as I am to the books but I often “make” her wait until I‘ve read the corresponding books first. She deserves a medal. ☺️

Unfortunately it‘s back to “reality” for me tomorrow so I‘ve been soothing the Saturday AND Sunday sads with a series read.

squirrelbrain You may find some other interesting talks on there too.... The Crimewriting Festival happens in Harrogate every year and should have been this weekend but, of course, has gone online instead. They always get the best authors and have a different curator each year - Rankin this year. 5y

ValerieAndBooks Are you allowed to have outdoor dining in Philly? We can here in Chester County. I‘m bummed for you that your vacation plans had to be radically changed! 5y

MicheleinPhilly @ValerieAndBooks We have limited outdoor dining but this weather hasn‘t really been conducive to that. 🥵The restaurants in our neighborhood have been doing what they can to increase outdoor capacity but we‘ve been sticking with curbside pick-up. 5y

vivastory It's been terrible. Restaurant dining rooms have opened here, but I just don't feel comfortable hanging out in a public space for long periods of time until there's a vaccine. I've been doing curbside which is nice, but not quite the same 5y

ValerieAndBooks @MicheleinPhilly I get you on the heat. We‘ve tried dining outdoors twice and both times it was just too hot to fully enjoy it. Maybe if we did it later but we don‘t like eating late 👵🏻👨🏼‍🦳. Don‘t want to do it indoors with recirculated air 😓. Makes me wonder how restaurants will fare when it‘s too cold to eat outdoors. @vivastory 5y

MicheleinPhilly @vivastory I feel exactly the same. I‘m cautiously optimistic about the vaccine research that is going on so I‘ll wait. None of what I‘ve been prevented from doing is essential anyway. Let‘s get those folks - healthcare, retail, sanitation, etc. - vaccinated first. 5y

MicheleinPhilly @ValerieAndBooks Well and aside from the heat, these storms have been epic and seem to come out of nowhere. It‘s not like you can run inside when the sky opens. My friend and I were joking the other day about her possibly having a date in the parking lot of ACME or CVS in case of a thunderstorm. 5y

Amiable I hear you. I‘m supposed to be on the deck of a river boat cruising through the Netherlands and Belgium. Instead I‘m swatting mosquitoes in my back yard. Which —spoiler alert—is NOT as much fun. 😖 5y

ValerieAndBooks I think food trucks need to take over ACME and CVS parking lots. That would work well for dates — run into your car or store awning if a storm breaks out! 5y

BeansPage I will say this though, thank goodness the bloody Exorcist isn't on this list!!! That darn movie has been on the top 100 horror film list as number one for over a decade. I just don't understand it 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ 5y

DebinHawaii Aww.. poor Bitsy. 🐶❤️ Max is not a fan either. He runs & hides if it gets anywhere near him and I have to wait until he is out of 'his' room to vacuum it. 😆 7y

Mollyanna We had a dog when I was young that used to attack the vacuum. There were bite marks all over it! And oh the barking when you turned it on... My dog now just eyes it wearily and eventually leaves the room. 7y
