My sister in law and mutual book lover gifted me with this lovely 10th anniversary edition of Clockwork Angel. This last year Cassandra Clare has been my number 1 read author for sure. pickJust a great YA book. It gave me Ruby Red vibes for a comparison. The initial phases of a love triangle doesn‘t even bother me. I am genuinely compelled by both Will and Jem. I liked the protagonist, Tessa; she is neither simpering nor insane with over confidence. Also the steampunk aesthetic is always fun. #Steampunk #YA

pickGreatly entertaining! My oldest child has wanted me to read this series for years, and I finally picked it up. It's packed with actions, intrigue, and monsters. Fun young adult lit.

pickMy 2nd read through. I struggled to get through it the 1st time round but my 2nd read time was much more successful. My 1st read was my 1st introduction into the Shadowhunter's world & whilst its not required to have read any of Mortal Instruments books first, I think it helps
An enjoyable read, if not as much as I enjoyed the Mortal Instruments.

This is a separate series to Mortal Instruments however some characters do make an appearance such as Magnus Bane, one of my favourite characters.
Would definitely recommend reading this book if you enjoyed mortal Instruments.

While I believe this has the makings to be a five-star book, a steampunk-ish plot, likable characters, and a fabulous ending...it failed to spike any real emotion from me. Definitely, a case for it's not you, it's me. No matter how hard I try I can't seem to re-spark my interest in this genre.

I liked the Mortal Instruments a lot, and I adore Cassandra Clare‘s Shadowhunters world. But I LOVE the Infernal Devices trilogy the most of all. Because Will Herondale. ❤️
pickConfession: I HATE love triangles, but good lord is this the only series that will ever get me to cry over a freaking love triangle. The story did stray from the main plot & started to heavily focus on the love story which was kind of bummer for me, we got some more answers but could have had more. But the last two chapters kept breaking my heart and making me cry, so here I am still loving this. Also I absolutely adore & love Henry and Charlotte.

pickThe setting, the plot, these characters, I like! The story stayed on track & never deviated or focused to heavily on the love triangle, which I am grateful for. Tessa is smart, Will is a beautiful jerk, & Jem is a precious bean. The mechanical plot is so out of left field but I love it! Tessa‘s ability is interesting. Jem is my favorite & his backstory left me teary eyed. oh & then there is Thomas & Sophie I like them, gah my heart with this one.

pickThis has been an awesome read. As always Cassandra Clare has produced another fabulous book that I have enjoyed thoroughly. There are a lot of twists and turns with some really unexpected storylines...
I remain very confused about Will and his reactions to Tessa. But more curious about how Jem will fair in the future. Also I really want to know if the Branwell's will remain heads of the Institute!
