Silver Eyes (Five Nights at Freddy's #1)
Silver Eyes (Five Nights at Freddy's #1) | Scott Cawthon, Kira Breed-Wrisley
Ten years after the horrific murders at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza that ripped their town apart, Charlie, whose father owned the restaurant, and her childhood friends reunite on the anniversary of the tragedy and find themselves at the old pizza place which had been locked up and abandoned for years. After they discover a way inside, they realize that things are not as they used to be. The four adult-sized animatronic mascots that once entertained patrons have changed. They now have a dark secret . . . and a murderous agenda.

This book was interesting... it was not what I expected from the synopsis. It had a great premise & I was super excited to read it, but it was super slow moving & not what I wanted. It would have been a DNF for me, but I promised one of students I would buddy read it with them. They were also not a fan of it & complained just as much as I did about it. It wasn‘t horrible, just not what I was expecting. Maybe recommend...?

🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

My baby sister is obsessed with the Five Nights at Freddy's games and the lore and all so, in an effort to connect with her I dove in to the games and theories and now the book. While the book wasn't extraordinary, I had fun reading it and I will continue the series. I look forward to talking about it with little sis.

Doing a reread of books 1 and 2 now that I finally have the 3rd. This book is a bit slow at first, but you need that background. Once it hits about 160 pages or so, the action starts and it's great.

I wasn't really familiar with the video games, but I thoroughly enjoyed these books. They were interesting and creepy, but the third left me with even more questions 🤔😣 Overall I'm glad I decided to read them 😄

Whodunit85 I didn't know there was a third one. My son will be ecstatic! 6y

I really love the fnaf series and world. I was excited to read the book back when I did and then I stumbled upon this at the library sale (I have it as a e copy as well) but I decided to share the love for this one and pass it on. I hope whoever grabs it enjoys it. I still need to finish the second one but this one is good.

I liked this one. A good cohesive plot with lots of creepiness. The very end was the only part I thought went a little too far with the weirdness.

vividandromeda I found the second book to be better, in my opinion, though I still enjoyed the first one. It picks up the pace quite a bit in the sequel! 7y

Alright, when it comes to FNAF lore, this book is really great! We got some answers to burning questions from the video games (like who is purple guy!!!) as well as some much needed backstory. But from a writing point of view, it was mediocre at best, sometimes the writing style was kind of bad. And I think it could have been a bit shorter than it was. My younger cousin wanted me to read this, so I finally have 👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉

For a novel based on a game, this book took a long time to actually get going. Lots of creepy animatronics, but the writing and character development weren't enough to live up the book's potential. Hoping book 2 has a higher body count!

I absolutely LOVED this book! At first I was skeptical about buying it because I was afraid it wouldn't measure up to the game, but boy was I wrong! It is a true thriller just like the game! It is basically a story about the daughter of the creator of Freddy and the other animatronics, heading back home to deal with her childhood nightmares. Murder, mystery, and justice all play well with each other here, definitely a must read! ❤️🐻

I am just a little obsessed with the FNAF franchise but I was disappointed in this. It is written for a teen audience but it seemed a bit too juvenile for me. This is also a story set in an alternate dimension with new characters and new events where the past events of the franchise didn't happen. This is completely separate from everything else you know from the FNAF universe.

I enjoyed the storyline, but I would not call Scott Cawthon a master of mediums. There were a multitude of cliche or cringeworthy passages that it took at least a month for me to get past the first chapter. Not the best. Not the worst.

pilardib there's a book?!? which came first? the book or the game? 8y

Nice creepy story. If you've played the games you're probably already familiar with the story - so in some ways it's better if you're a newbie! It's published by scholastic and marketed towards teens and tweens - but you're mileage may vary on appropriateness. My 9 year old LOVES it - but there is murder and mayhem - including murder of children and although not really graphic , a few scenes are disturbing.

In my early teenage years I would've loved this book! Set in an abandoned mall, a group of teenagers unwittingly get caught up in a murder mystery, with some super creepy animatronic creatures coming to life thrown in for good measure!
The book peaked my interest, and I was keen to see how the story unraveled, but after the initial few spooky chapters, I lost interest.
Not brilliantly written, but a good book for teens looking for a fright!

I'm having mixed feelings right now. Only 20 pages in and I feel like I was given an information drop. Hopefully it develops when I get past the introduction of the characters.
