Lcsmcat @rretzler Mine too. I don‘t think they teach Longfellow as much now though, which is sad. I loved Evangeline when I was in Junior High! 5y

rretzler I loved Evangeline too. It always intrigued me. I also liked The Song of Hiawatha. I‘m not a big poetry fan, but I do like epic poems like those of Longfellow. 5y

Aimeesue I grew up in Massachusetts and my grandfather would always recite his version of this poem, reworked to include one on the lesser known riders from his town: "Listen my children and hear my epistle/ of the midnight ride of Israel Bissel." ??? 5y
