I'm taking a break from ARCs today. Romance isn't normally my jam, so this may be a risky one, but we shall see. Happy Friday to you all. Hope it's a good one. 🙂
Provided a nice break between all the fantasy I‘ve been reading. Takes me back to my time In Alaska.

Reading for the first time because it‘s been a long wait on my tbr- emotional and very close to home so far. ❤️🥹
Book 33
Enjoyable fluff with all expected elements and good characters and emotional development. I'll read more of this easy-read series. ⭐⭐⭐.5
This was a very entertaining contemporary romance taking place in Alaska. It makes you want to visit and meet a bush pilot 😉 4.5⭐️
My #bookspin pick and it earned another #bookspinbingo
#NoShameReadathon22 - contemporary
#20in4 #Readathon - 3rd book done!
This slow burn romance is only $1.99, just today I believe. I grabbed myself a copy. I haven't read this series yet.
This was my first KA Tucker book, but I promise that it won‘t be my last. The writing, the setting, the messages, the romance? It was all perfect in my eyes.
This book also shines a spotlight on found families and platonic love, too.
The overall message of this book is so important and so beautiful. We have to let people live the life that they want to live. We don‘t have to agree, but we can always be supportive and try to be empathetic. 5⭐
5/5
I picked this up after hearing it was similar to It Happened One Summer and definitely agree, if you love one of these books you'll love the other. After finding out her estranged father has lung cancer, Calla returns to the Alaskan wilderness for the first time since she was 2 to get to know the man. She immediately butts heads with one of her father's employees, gruff bush-pilot Jonah.
I feel bad marking this as “so-so” when I‘m clearly not the reader for this book, but I was so taken by all the glowing reviews so I must add my own perspective. I‘m much too “dark and twisty” for this book, plus I don‘t enjoy romances. I should have known better. The storyline did keep my attention and I loved the Alaska setting but constant superficial talk of makeup, hair, clothes, etc just really didn‘t work for me. A “new adult” type of novel
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
When it comes to romance, the enemies to lovers trope is my favorite.
Calla hasn't been back to Alaska since she and her mother moved to Toronto when she was 2. After finding out her estranged father is ill, she heads back to spend time with him and finally get to know him. While there she meets Jonah, her father's right hand man. The sexual tension between the two was just delicious and I couldn't get enough of the story.
Wren sets the two navy suitcases next to the stroller and then reaches for the cigarette precariously perched between his lips, taking a long, slow drag.

Took a down day after my book hangover. Going to give this one a try and see where it takes me. It gets good reviews.
I just found out that another book (well, novella) in The Simple Wild series is coming out in December! Yaaaay!
I only started reading romance novels in the last few years really and The Simple Wild has been one of my favourites!
Interesting, heartfelt and cute book, love reading about different parts of the world 5/5
The book I read The Player Nextdoor does not.seem to be on here. What a steamy, open door romance! Nothing like The Simple Wild, but I still enjoyed it.
I've been slowly working my way through K.A. Tucker books and am definitely a fan. This book is one of her more popular ones and follows Calla, a city girl, who takes a trip to rural Alaska to reconnect with her estranged father. There is an enemies to lovers romance which I enjoyed, but I still don't know how I feel about that ending! I'll definitely pick up the next book eventually. Have you read any #katucker books?
I had absolutely no plans to read this but my friend read it and loved it so she passed it on to me and told me I HAD to read it. I‘m so glad I did because I loved it too! Can‘t wait to read the follow-up!
I had cataloged this book as YA in my brain. Definetly isn't. Loved the banter between the two. Reminds me of how my husband and I have always been towards each other, snarky and sarcastic.
I loved everything about this book. It made me laugh and it made me sad. I really enjoyed the main characters. A great book about second chances and falling in love.
The Simple Wild has me dreaming of Alaska and wishing I could go to the bookstore to get the second one. I haven‘t taken my head out of this book ALL day. It‘s so, so good! Our amazing, new bed couldn‘t have come at a perfect time. Some people are being productive during coronatine-not I. My bed is too comfortable and books take me places I can‘t go.
Callie ventures to Alaska when she learns the father she barely knows has cancer. She must adjust to a place that is so foreign to her it might as well be another continent complete with a surly pilot neighbor who seems to hate her on sight but is always around. The romance is great. Really great. But the setting and complex relationships are what make this book so special. Loved it and excited that there will be a sequel.
Loved this book! The setting (Alaksa) is fantastic and the characters are fantastic. I was thrilled to learn that there will be another book for these characters - coming out in March 2020.
Beach read #1
I didn't know if a book set in Alaska would fit my.mood while laying on a Florida beach, but this book was so charming, I sped through it. Much more than a love story, also about a relationship between a daughter and father.

Absolutely loved this book.
I switched between the audio and ebook on Scribd. Both were amazing.
I am not big on romance but this was so much more. It made me laugh and cry.❤️
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This one hit me in the feels, I cried a few times towards the end of the book.
I like to read outdoorsy books outside.
I love books set in Alaska. I don‘t think I would last one winter night there, but there is something romantic about this last frontier.
This book is so beautiful. I just couldn‘t put it down! It‘s been calling my name ever since I finished the Great Alone over a month ago. I devoured it almost in one sitting!
Spent today getting organized!!
Happy New Year's Littens near and far. We have 3 hours to go. Stay safe!
My quiet time. Love when its still dark out.
I will start by saying that I borrowed this from the library but I‘ll probably be buying my own copy. The characters, all of them, are well-rounded, unique, and flawed. The (blood related and found) family dynamics are complex and messy but true. And then the romance is the cherry on top. I am a sucker for bickering as foreplay and fantastic dialogue and banter, and Simple Wild has that in spades. Overall, it‘s just lovely and a new favorite.
I finally finished this one this morning and I have such a book hangover. I‘m going to miss these characters! Review later when I‘ve recovered a bit.
1. Update Litsy! I‘ve finished several books but haven‘t talked about them yet. Also, Hi 👋🏼 to new followers! I must‘ve made the suggested list but I haven‘t had the chance to interact with my new friends.
2. Kids swim lessons, errands, order Christmas card, put up outside lights. I probably won‘t do it all.
3. Peanut butter buds.
4. Tagged. Love it!
5. Will do later when I have a bit more time.

Calla was only two when her took her and fled the Alaskan wild. Now 26 yrs old, Calla travels to Alaska to try and reconnect with her estranged father. While there she meets all her dad friends she falls in love with Alaska and meets the insufferable Jonah.
I really enjoyed this book and seeing Calla grow from the spoiled city girl to the real her she finds in Alaska. Great characters and writing.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really enjoyed this one! ❤️ New author for me, but I‘ll definitely be checking out her backlist.
A story about all the emotions of re-connecting to an ill parent that you‘ve been estranged from since you were a toddler. A story about finding love in the least likely place. And a story about both forgiving and loving even when it may not turn out all rosy. Humorous, sad and ultimately hopeful. Well done! 4.5/5⭐️

Up next, one I‘ve been wanting to read since it came out in August. The majority of it takes place in Alaska...so I‘m thinking it‘s the right time of year for it. Time to get cozy! 😍
