I really liked this book I was torn between 3 and 4 stars and gave it 4 bc of the audible gasps I let out finishing this story. I was fully drawn in to this book and recommend it to you all. I can't say nothing more without giving some sort of spoiler, but give it a shot!

I got this book signed at Book Expo a few years ago, and when I read it, I was surprised at how much I liked it. It's about a girl who gets caught shoplifting. To get out of trouble, she claims to be a girl who went missing many years before. She gets more than she bargained for when the police take her home to her 'family.'

There are definitely some family problems...

This was a quick read. I found that it started off kind of slow, but once the story was established it kicked off. In the story you find yourself kind of worrying that the “protagonist” will get caught and also wondering what happened to the daughter of the family. It makes you worry about one thing so much that you don‘t see the completed messed up twist at the end. It was an entertaining read! Shoutout to Bella! 🐶 Enjoying a good petting!

Good bargain today!

Even though it was an audiobook, I'm still excited that I've finished my first book in a few months. I didn't mind the story, but I'm glad I listened to it. I think I would've been disappointed with the print version. I enjoyed the way in which the story unfolded. I both liked and disliked the end...and that's all I'm going to say!

I've been in such a reading rut! I have two audiobooks right now on Overdrive and am hoping I'll get through them. This one is interesting so far. Wish me luck!

I really enjoyed this book - i thought the story's of the past and now were woven together really well, and I found it so engaging that I read it in a single day. But there was some stuff towards the end with what I felt was unnecessarily graphic violence against animals which I found so disturbing that I would rather not have read the book at all than have read that scene - especially since I felt that level of detail wasn't needed for the story.

It's my birthday and I plan to spend it partying. By partying, I obviously mean wrapping myself in a fluffy blanket, eating candy and reading this novel I treated myself to. This is the best day!

Although there were some parts I'd like to be more fleshed out, this was very suspenseful and kept me guessing until the end. And also reinforced my notion that there are no normal twins in fiction. I'll definitely stay tuned for more by this author!

Just started this one and it is bizarre! Narrator is amazing. The story is just creepy and dark. Just the way I like it!

Really enjoyed this book. It was a super quick read and I found myself surprised as the plot twist was slowly unfolded. The dual perspectives and flashbacks made this a quick enjoyable read.

2⭐️This was a fast read but it was just "eh" for me. Definitely some suspense but too many unanswered questions about some characters and what felt like a fast wrap up with little insight into why certain choices were made. Looking back after the resolution I'm wondering why some topics/subjects were even part of the story at all. If you're looking for a solid thriller I'd say keep looking.

This had a plot with great potential that was untapped. I almost wish that someone else would take this premise and do more with it. There were aspects that could have been fantastic, especially when the twist is revealed.
