A really interesting read, it covers her childhood and early stage career. I'm looking forward to reading the follow up book that covers her movie career (Mary Poppins is one of my all time favourite movies!)

This book was alright, but nothing too inspiring or interesting. It was nice that Andrews read it herself. Her voice is a delight. Otherwise I might have thumbs downed it.

My plans - finishing this #memoir

I grew up watching and loving Julie Andrews in Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music but knew nothing about her or her life. Her difficult childhood, feeling responsible for caring for her family, and her path to success are hard to imagine at times. I‘m looking forward to the next book, Home Work.

This also sent me down the YouTube rabbit hole lol Julie and Carol Burnett together are a lot of fun. Definitely look them up.

I loved learning more about her early career! I think some parts were confusing as an American not understanding some British culture, but I really loved the behind the scenes into her first steps to stardom

I could listen to her read a textbook and be happy. This was an absolute joy to listen to. Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music are two of my favorite movies and I‘ve always loved Julie Andrews, but really knew nothing else about her. Therefore, I‘m using this as my #liveandlearn pick for #booked2020. Looking forward to starting her second book tomorrow!

My car battery died two different times this week listening to Julie Andrews read this on audio. I turned the car off but let it keep playing; I couldn't pull myself away. She is my queen.

I love supporting small businesses. Especially my local used bookstore.

This is a lovely memoir that I read years ago but still remember being enchanted by the writing. I didn't know anything about her life before Mary Poppins or The Sound of Music, which is where this book ends. I wonder when and if a next book will be published?

I love her more than ever!!
