I read the first 2 books years ago and didn‘t love them, but I kept meaning to finish as I‘d already bought the 3-in-1 set and hated it sitting there unfinished. I liked this more than I was expecting (which still wasn‘t loads) but I was pretty gripped near the end. I guess a lot of this series feels like lists of history facts and facts about famous unis, and there‘s dark academia horror fantasies I like better

Bk1 of #JoyousJune #readathon is done! Finished this last night after a hectic day, after Jaxon then a bookstore visit, we got a phone call from the MIL saying she‘d won $6,000 on the pokies and did we want to come to dinner at the club, her shout? Yep. So the reread wasn‘t done till 11pm. The conclusion of the All Souls trilogy was again, not the best book in it but it does tie up the story nicely. #BookspinBingo #SeriesLove2023 #Pantone2023

Andrew65 Excellent. Are you planning to read Time‘s Convert that Fantastic Fiction lists as the fourth book in the series. 10mo
Lizpixie @Andrew65 yes I‘m reading it right now. It‘s not actually a book in All Souls, it‘s like a companion book, according to the author anyway! 10mo

At the end of Day1 of my #JoyousJune #readathon I have 5 1/2hrs of my reread of the last book in the All Souls Trilogy. I‘ve already finished the first two, in spite of the towers of new books in my library, I needed a comfort read & I love this world. So goodnight from me, I‘m having an earlyish night as I‘m taking my grandson out tomorrow before going to a new bookstore that‘s just opened up in Penrith. I know, my TBR is staring daggers!🫣

Andrew65 A great start, well done 👏👏👏 I really need to get back to these books. Look forward to hearing what books you pick up 😂 10mo

Much better than book 2, the new character problem I was whinging about settled down for the last 3/4 of the book. Satisfied by the ending, and felt that most things came together. Although there are certainly many loose ends still to be tidied, it‘s enough. And

The Austin central library is six stories of beauty and light. I bought a tshirt. I think this is going to be a new thing for me - to visit libraries when I travel and buy stuff to support them. What library do you love? #publiclibrary #library

Reading at a cafe in Austin, Texas. This book is SO long. I‘ve been reading it all week all over Austin!

We got off to a good start with the first book, book two suffered from middle book syndrome and this final book failed in delivering.

I was really hoping for a decent wrap up but it was very weak. We have spent over 1,000 pages searching for the Book of Life and once found there wasn't enough fanfare, it felt very flat. What should have been the final thrilling battle scene failed in its thrillingness.

An OK trilogy for me.

Very good! I was surprised about the revelation of how witches, vampires, and deamons are related! But the end of the book leaves you on a cliffhanger. What happens to Gerbert? Does Diana decide to exchange being a witch for becoming a vampire? Many unanswered questions...

Bk10 & final of September & Bk19 of #LittensDressedInBlood is done! Just in time for midnight & the start of the October ‘thons. The last book in the All Souls trilogy, it completes Diana & Matthews journey to acceptance of who they are & the beginning of a new life. Very much enjoyed this though Shadow Of Night is still my favourite. #BookspinBingo #ReadItAgainSam #PennyPerPage #Pageathon #ChunksterChallenge
