so-soGood but not great. I loved the narratives of the four different nurses but it was broken up by data dumps that I skimmed. Also, the author followed for different nurses, but they were all women, 3 out of 4 were relatively the same age and they were all white and straight. There was very little about non white nurses and a few pages dedicated to male nurses, annoyingly called “murses”.

This is so horrible, but so unfortunately so truthful. I have a MAA degree, and used to work in the field, & witnessed this so often. There should be no reason for this at all. I know every hospital has a certain budget but if there are enough staff, then patient deaths caused by understaffing goes down, which means less chances for lawsuits from families who had someone die because of understaffing. 🤔🤔🤔Sorry end of rant! Just struck me so hard

I am so stinkin excited about this bookmark I got for my birthday! The couple I used to work for gave it to me. I had left my job with them to start nursing school and they also know how much I love reading because we were always sharing book recommendations with each other so they combined my two passions and got me this! So thoughtful and isn‘t it just the cutest!!Last year they gave me The Emerald Atlas Series which I loved!!! 👇🏾
