I finished my #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin books for March 🍀
I enjoyed Story Thieves more.
My #BookSpinBingo board for March is set up. Tagged book is my #BookSpin book and The Glass Town Games is my #DoubleSpin book.
“After all, books were the truest form of magic that ever existed, in a lot of ways.”
“Embrace the impossible! Find the magic within! BE MORE FICTIONAL”
“There was no way this would work. No way. She was going to die and so was everyone in town. This could not work. She did it anyway”
“Sometimes you have to embrace the bad to find the good”. He winked at her. “Think about it”.
“ Sometimes the impossible is the only thing that DOES make sense!”
Thank you to my friend Sharvri for recommending this book to me, I‘ve just started but I already love it. The picture is of the first page in the book and I felt I had to post it.
Genre: Fantasy, Adventure
Date started: December 17, 2019
Date finished: December 20, 2019
Why I chose this book: I chose this book because I liked how descriptive the summary is, and it had some parts that made me want to continue reading it.
Summary: Owen is an ordinary guy, but when he was in class he was something unusual about Betahny(his classmate.)
I‘ve been hoping my 9yo would someday find a book so exciting that he could live without illustrations or cartoon graphics in the text - turns out this was the book 😍. Before Story Thieves, he would flick through books and assume they were “too hard” or “boring”. For the past cpl years I‘ve been thankful for all the great books with graphic elements on most pages - now I‘m glad he can now choose an all text book too 🙌 #raisingreaders
Thank you @Slajaunie for sharing your books!! I can‘t wait to dig into these, but for now they will be added to the box of books getting ready for the move 🏢➡️🏡 Hopefully I will find time to read one soon after unpacking 😁 I am especially excited for Story Thieves!
So yes, I ordered from Scholastic book orders for myself. Too good a deal to pass up! And it comes with a tote bag! #nevertooold
Wrapped the books right after they arrived. #bookmail for my son's birthday (in August). He's going to either love me, or hate me. Probably depends on the puberty hormone levels.
My book list has grown by 20 just by this book alone.
I need to finish this up tonight Book drops are tomorrow. ❤
Found this. Why can't I be a kid again.
Trying to decide if I had the power to jump into a book, which would I choose?
I had a pleasant evening reading. This story was a fun mix of adventure, magic, and scifi that I thoroughly enjoyed. I was able to forget myself and my troubles. #middlegrade #fantasy #scifi
Love that my kids are all #bookworms. Oldest (10) read this whole book this morning before school!
"Oh, hi!" Kiel shouted down. "I hope you found something good in there, because things took a slight turn out here. Nothing I can't handle, of course, but I'll let you help if it makes you feel better!" ? #GeeThanks

The power went out while I was in the middle of some household chores so I'll take it as a sign to take a break and read! 😊 I just picked this book up last night and I'm already 44 pages in. One of the characters can jump into books! Makes me think of Thursday Next. #middlegrade #fantasy
"... the second rule they taught us in librarian school is that you can have as many favorite books as there are books"
"Maybe you just haven't found your favorite book yet. I honestly don't think anyone has. Just when you think you might have a favorite, something even better comes along."
My son reading to me. We took turns reading to each other. He was very excited to find this at the library. I find that I am loving that the kids get list in books. #whenhereadsmyheartmelts #dkw09 #makingmomproud #ihavedreamedaboutthesedays
For anyone missing the Harry Potter glory days of magic, heroism, friendship, and doing what's right even when it's not easy, this is a book for you. Equal mixes of The Neverending Story, Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, Inkheart, and The Time Quintet, this book has something for everyone. I don't want to give anything away, but be prepared to fall in love with all of your favorite stories all over again! A definite must!
We picked this one up during one of our many bookstore visits in Iowa in April. I need a good, fun, light-hearted read, so it's next in line for me.
I was amazed when I noticed the similarities of these two book covers. My daughter is currently reading The Lost Hero, the kids and I will begin Story Thieves tonight before bed.
This book was such a fun read aloud with my nieces! Being able to jump into books and interact with the characters, book characters having to come to terms with being fictional, and all the hijinks that ensued. Highly recommend this one! Can't wait to read the second one!

Cottage fall long weekend reading and rambling times ❤️
Reading this delightful book to my nieces at the cottage by the woodstove. We are all transfixed by the idea of being able to jump into books and be in the stories. ❤️
My favorite handsell for kids who love Harry Potter. Imagine Dumbledore popped into our world, got pissed when he discovered he was fictional, and tried to free the characters from every book. I sold a copy to a kid today who wandered in because we're a PokeStop.
