Hello, fellow #wintercamplitsy campers! We know you like to see some of the ‘nearly-made it‘ books when it comes to camp voting!
The above 9 books are in order of voting, with The Road to Tender Hearts being the closest to making our top 3.
Interestingly, The Antidote was in the top 3 for the first half of voting, but fell away later on, whereas Good Dirt did the opposite.
What do you think of these - any you‘ve read or plan to read anyway?
so-soMy last #Roll100 book for 2025
I think Irving and I need to break up. After a passionate romance from about 1985-1999, we took a 20 yr hiatus and now things just aren‘t the same. This is the 2nd book published in the 21st century of his that I‘ve kinda hated. To be fair, we both have changed.
IMO this was a mess. Juan Diego is a writer in Iowa via Mexico. He remembers his past on a trip to the Philippines. Too scattered/unnecessary sex scenes.
pickYes, I am finishing my September #roll100 in December!! As usual I am late to the party but I give this book 4 thumbs up!! I fell in love with Evelyn and her “no sh*ts” given attitude. I loved the relationships that she developed over her lifetime and was surprised by the twist at the end. This is my first book by this offer. I believe there will be more in my future.
so-soMy second to last #Roll100 for 2026. I get the appeal and normally I love character driven SFF with political intrigue, but there was something that didn‘t work for me.
Baru‘s homeland is assimilated by the Falcrest Empire. She is sent as a child to a boarding school to be groomed as a civil servant to the Empire. But secretly Baru has plans for revenge on the usurping empire that destroyed her family. Will she have the nerve to see it through?
