This is the last book in the Schuyler Sisters trilogy and I have enjoyed every one of them. I loved Pepper and Annabelle‘s feisty independence, though Annabelle‘s story broke my heart.

I wish the book had gone on a little longer, both because I love Williams' writing and because I wanted more resolution for Pepper and Florian! At least we got Annabelle's indomitable spirit til the bitter end. #historicalfiction

I loved that while this book was essentially a love story, it was a real love story. Just because you've find a real and enduring love doesn't mean that everything will be easy or will work out. It had twists and turns and stumbling blocks throughout. There was no predicting the outcome right up to the last page!

11-23-21: My 118th finished book of 2021! Book 3 in the Schuyler Sisters series. Oh how I loved this book! Not many make me cry but this one did. The story of Annabelle and Stefan, lovers in 1930s Europe entangles a woman on the run, Pepper Schuyler, in 1960s America. The whole series is 5 stars! Each book better than the last. For the last two years, I‘ve read a Beatriz Williams‘ book on vacation in July. Sadly, we‘re not going anywhere this summer, but I‘m trying desperately to recreate a bit of that vacation vibe.

I couldn‘t love the twist at the end, or Florian, more. Perfect for book club, lazy weekend reading, or the beach.

Actually, I match very well to this cover right now with my blankets AND my nails. 😂 Anyway. For whatever reason, like I said before, this one wasn‘t as engaging to me - I‘m not sure it could be said that this was really Pepper‘s story at all, not like the other two were her sisters‘ stories. Pepper, the youngest Schuyler sister, has problems that she needs to fix fast! She fixes up a rare Mercedes and sells it at an auction thinking that this will solve her problems, then the new owner shows up! Lots of secrets, sacrifices and an awesome love story! This may be my favorite Beatriz Williams book!!

After finishing Uncle Tom's Cabin this week, I needed some easier reads. I read all 4 library books I took out 4/11 !!!!

I enjoyed the third Schuyler Sister novel even more, if possible, than the first two. I fell in love with Annabelle instantly and enjoyed getting to know Pepper a bit more after hints of her in the previous novels. A thoroughly enjoyable, lovely and exciting read.
