This book was okay, but kind of forgettable. I tolerated the main character, but loved Chang!

Staying at a local hotel because our water is frozen at home. Nothing to do but look out at the snow falling and read. I‘m not even mad 😎
I wanted so much to like this book because the premise was great. But it was just so boring....I finally bailed.
This book went in too many directions. It seems like the author just tried to do too much rather than simplifying to tell a better story. This fact made the lack of clear transitions very apparent. This book really needed a strong editor to get ahold of it and clean it up.
This book was a great read. It had suspense. mystery. Kept you second guessing yourself. Great writing.
Definitely recommend!

Elle Marr tells the story of twin sisters, nefarious dealings, deaths, and the catacombs of Paris in her debut mystery, The Missing Sister. She gathers plenty of action and plot points, with a unique cast of characters in an iconic city. Mix it up, and you‘ve got a successful read!

Never do I ever choose my #KindleFirst book on the second day of the month. I usually wait for reviews to roll in and pick after the 20th or so. But on the recommendation of @RaimeyGallant and a quick read of the first few pages, I‘m going for this new book from #LitsyAuthor @ellemarr ! Doesn‘t hurt that it knocks of some challenge prompts too.

I selected my Amazon First Reads pick for March and I support #AurthorsofLitsy @ellemarr
Look what's an Amazon First Reads pick—why it's our very own @ellemarr 's The Missing Sister, an #OwnVoices debut. Actual release date is April 1, but it's $1.99 USD/free on Amazon First Reads in March. I remember when Elle was winning writing competitions with this book, and I'm lucky she said yes to being my critique partner. It's a gritty, timely thriller with a voicy protagonist who ends up in Paris piecing together what happened to her twin.
Now for a little bragging: my #OwnVoices critique partner @ellemarr landed a 2-book deal with Thomas & Mercer, and her debut just hit NetGalley. GET IT WHILE YOU CAN! Her cover and synopsis are en route to Litsy. :)
In Paris, Shayna's twin sister has vanished, leaving behind three chilling words: Trust no one. As she gets closer to the truth—and to the killer—Shayna‘s own life may now be in the balance…
After a super busy summer of writing, I have news: MY BOOK IS ON NETGALLEY! If you‘re a book blogger or reviewer, I‘d love it if you requested to read! (Or weighed in on my cover with a 👍 or 👎) Cover art to arrive on Litsy soon! Meanwhile, here‘s my book‘s by-line:
