#cbbc I mostly enjoyed this book- the setting, main character and mystery were all a win for me. There were a few too many extra characters that i felt spread things out a bit more than i like.
The part i liked most- I was inspired by the book to listen to the Sinead O‘conner version of Molly Malone and like everything she sings it was beautiful and a little heart breaking- but so glad to have listened to it ❤️
August 2024 Book #4
Megan moved from US to Ireland and she is working in a Limo Service. One day one famous client collapsed after she ate in a restaurant. Megan is a friend of the owners of this restaurant and she accepted to help them in the investigation of the circumstances of this death due to the bad impact this incident can have to the restaurant and because one employee was a suspect of this murder⬇️2.8/3⭐️

I took some stuff to my favourite Little Free Library yesterday and came away with a cozy mystery, which I started over supper. I‘m about halfway through now and I‘m having a great time! This is exactly what I needed.
Utterly delightful! I read this during #StayHome24in48 #24in48 and absolutely enjoyed it. The ending of the book turns into darker topics, so not 100% cozy feeling, but this is still definitely a cozy mystery. And, what‘s not to kind - Ireland and puppies and a cute detective. First in a series of which I look forward to reading.
#Xander is an excellent model - kitty pictures help during these times! #catsoflitsy
#StayHome24in48 checkin: finished my reread of The Secret of Chimneys for last month‘s #AgathaChristieClubR2 and moving on to a last minute add to my stack, the tagged book. Over dinner, I also started to read Red, White, and Royal Blue which is SO good!
My cats have been such good companions today. #Xander is appreciating another nap round on my lap. #catsoflitsy
Almost done this cute cozy and I have no clue who the killer is. I love it when that happens.
The first cosy mystery from Catie Murphy does not disappont! With an American (relocated to Ireland) protagonist, a convincing reason for the protagonist to be involved, and an excellent supporting cast, I really enjoyed this. I did not solve the mystery too fast, and I‘m already keen to read the next installment.
5/5
Megan is an American limo driver, living in Dublin, when one of her clients dies suddenly. She gets drawn into finding out what happened, as it initially looks like it may be food poisoning contracted at her friend‘s restaurant.
The mystery definitely kept me interested, and the use of an American as a main character meant that it was possible for her to “explain“ Irishisms without annoying Irish people (like me) Great descriptions of Dublin too.
There is actual snow on the ground here in Vancouver . I‘m so lucky to be able to have this morning.
