This book provides a good message to students on how to treat everyone how you would want to be treated. It is not what is on the outside it is what is on the inside that counts.

This is a good story to use to talk about people‘s differences and how to be kind to others regardless of differences.

Auggie and Me by R.J. Palacio (2014). It is different from other books because of three different perspectives. This allows the reader to see different perspectives of Auggie.

This story is unique because it tells a story from three different perspectives of how each person views the main character.

This book can help teach children to be kind to all. No matter how one may look. It will show students that it‘s what‘s on the inside that matters.

Auggie and Me written by R. J. Palacio is a great story that will teach readers to be inclusive and kind to everyone no matter how different they may be!

Auggie and Me by R. J. Palacio is told from three different perspectives. This allows the reader to see how Auggie is perceived by other people. This book is significant to our world today as it‘s about a child who is disabled who experiences bullying and hardships.

This story is from three different perspective, which helps readers see different sides and views of Auggie who is the main character of the book. Helps readers learn to be mindful and inclusive with students who may be different from them!

I liked The Julian Chapter the least of the three, likely because Julian (despite this one being from his POV) is a little s**t (though I did like his grandmother‘s story). I‘m giving it (this time around) 3.5 stars (good). The other two I thought were really good. I really enjoyed Chris‘s story and it probably had the most of Auggie in it. Cont in comments...

This book is after the book “Wonder“. It shows the point of view of three different characters. This book shows one of the characters having anxiety attacks and dealing with these emotions. Juliane realized he needed to be nice to other people more often. Pluto gets upset that people look at him when he's with Auggie. All students have different abilities and this book can relate to a whole classroom.

Auggie & Me is written by R.J. Palacio. The second chapter focuses on Chris and Auggie who were friends since they were little but as Chris grows up he distances himself from Auggie because of his face. He feels like people stare at him too much when he is with Auggie and judges him. This book could be used to reflect that all students are different and it is not okay to judge someone based on their differences.

This book has three sections that focus on the POV of three characters that related to the Wonder book. Talks about normalizing fears and anxiety, addressing bullying, social norms, judgement from peers, friendship, and ego and selfishness. Discusses how different children handle challenging experiences.

This story is contemporary fiction and the book honestly portray the realities of life for todays child.They are three completely different narratives, telling the stories of characters who only occasionally, if at all, appear in each other's stories. They all have one thing in common though, Auggie Pullman, His presence in their lives serves as a catalyst by which they are transformed in subtle and not so subtle ways.

This book goes off the story “wonder” which is about a 10 year old boy named Auggie who was born with a facial deformity. This book is not a sequel to “wonder” It doesn't pick up where “Wonder” left off. What this book is, is an expansion of Auggies world. The three stories in “Auggie and Me” are told from the perspective of Julian, Christopher and Charlotte.

Three novellas centered sound side characters from Wonder. Sweet and thoughtful.

Companion novels can be hit and miss, this one, a companion to Wonder, is a definite hit. Three different, loosely connected stories that all show heart, strength of character and empathy. Better still RJ Palacio writes the most wonderful note to the reader, never talking down to her young audience.

Also in the Wonder realm is a graphic novel, White Bird, which adds a further layer to the collection.

August Pullman aka Auggie was like any other boy except, Auggie had a facial difference. He has been homeschooled for most of his school career but Auggie was going in to 5th grade and he wanted to go to public school. Auggie has always been scared to go to public school because he was scared of what the other kids would think of him. Even though Auggie didn‘t look like the other kids, he had a big heart and made some really good friends.

I listened to this audiobook right after Wonder. Though nice stories, they are not as moving as Wonder.

A little disappointing that the same books keep going on sale, but I found 4 nonetheless! Did you grab any at the 2 for 1 sale?

The first of many cups of coffee this weekend ☕️ I had every intention of starting the first book for #24in48 last night but fell right asleep, so let‘s try this again. I‘m going with a quick read and one I‘ve been looking forward to!

Another buddy read with my little man. We LOVED Wonder, and this was a nice (although not as great) read as well. I really needed to read Julian‘s story to understand his character. I needed to know he felt remorse in the end. Not that we can forgive all of his actions, but it helped shed some light on his situation. Loved the continued messages of choosing kindness above all else. #Book8of2018

Firstly, I STILL hate Julian 😡 always #choosekind . It was good to understand Julian more, but now I just understand more how selfish he is, when he decides to do good it is only for his own self image. The other two stories about Christopher and Charlotte , I felt were unnecessary. I didn't really learn anything profound from them or gain any greater insight. Julian could have been rolled into Wonder.

Sorry but I still hate Julian #choosekind

The three stories are okay. Not as good as Wonder, which may be why it felt a little meh to me. Julian had by far the best chapter, only because Grandmère saved his story. Christopher has the least interesting, maybe because he didn‘t play an active role in Wonder. I almost stopped reading after Julian but decided to continue. #readwomen

I liked Wonder better, but this was an adorable little follow up. The stories seemed insignificant at first but they all had a sweet little ending 🤗

It was nice to hear the story behind the story. I liked having the opportunity to learn what was going on with the other characters from the story. And of course, #rjpalacio 's message of kindness never gets old. 💗

Started this #middlegrade book last night. So far it does not disappoint.

If you loved the book Wonder, then you will love the realistic fiction stories of 3 of the other characters in the book. You get to know the true Julian, the bully, Charlotte, Auggie's school friend, and Christopher, Auggie's oldest best friend. Such great stories! I loved diving back into Auggie's world from different viewpoints. I cried quite a bit during each story!

Trust me. You will cry at the first story in here 😭

This contains three short stories that were written after Wonder. The first is the Julian chapter that was also published by itself. The writer develops each section with great detail, maybe a little too much detail in spots. However, all of the short stories provide great life lessons.

My little guys and I listened to this audio book and finished last night. We loved WONDER and they were anxious to read this collection of connected stories. I wasn't much of a fan. I think Palacio is a good writer, but this one felt like she was trying to keep riding the success from her novel. My boys liked it though.
