I think I‘m on a supernatural fantasy novel reading marathon. I went from Crescent City Kingdom of Air and Breath to King of Battle and Blood and now Spells Trouble. #spellstrouble #pccastandKristincast

So-so bordering on pan for me. I didn‘t really understand Mercy‘s choices and that sex scene with her and Kirk felt out of place with the rest of this NOT ROMANCE book. I found that the abbreviations and shortened words reminded me of how my friends talked in grade school. Also, why would Mercy and Hunter do full on spells with their friends and then lie to them about the fact their cat can change into a human? ⬇️

I won‘t say too much as this was my choice for #LMPBC, but I will say that it‘s worth a read. There were some inconsistencies. I felt like it was more of a middle grade read with the exception of a single steamy scene. Curious what my group members think once they read it.

⭐️ October flew by. I socialized, read a little more, worked a lot more & enjoyed the #HHS book swap.

⭐️ An Extra hour of sleep & a 4 day weekend.

⭐️ Family, friends, my job & books.

🎃 I feel like the months are flying by. I didn‘t get very much time to read so that‘s kind of sad, but there‘s November.
🦃 I love November! It‘s when I start crocheting short project for gifts, and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
⭐️ I‘m grateful for a few days rest this week.

This was a cute, quick listen. A little more young in the YA category. And there fewe some flaws in the plot I saw, but overall still a cute listen.

A cute, witchy, YA fantasy romp. Reads very easily & quickly, with a lot of teenage snark (though sometimes over the top). The feeling is light & fun even though the story does get a bit dark & gritty. Easy to follow with some good pieces of intrigue. A fast-paced read that kept me entertained. The story ends on a cliffhanger, so I was left a bit disoriented & disappointed. Still, I enjoyed my read & I'm curious about where the series will go.

I‘ve heard a lot of good things about this mother/daughter writing team, so I was excited to try the first book in their latest series. Witchy identical twins sounded like such a fun series! While the audio is wonderfully performed, the large cast size makes it a bit hard to get into at first. Plus I never felt connected to either twin- but I sure did love Xena! I just wish there had been more historical sections like the prologue! #AudioColoring

5/5 for this witchy read! This pulls you in immediately with twin witches! These sisters are the complete opposite of each other but are so loyal. They are surrounded by friends that support them. Then something awful happens. Now the sisters have to figure out what went wrong. The story was so great. I could not stop reading. I need the next book right now! Unfortunately this book was as flat as old soda. It read like a middle grade book (or a corny, silly, satirical movie) and then *bam* you get hit with a sex scene that doesn't help the progression of the plot at all. The writing style was boring and subpar. I definitely expected better from such experienced authors. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 due to the originality of the idea; it had potential but needed to be developed and written better.

I am lucky enough to have a galley of this sitting at home. I hope to get it read next month.
