It's a xmas miracle! Ever since Disney Hyperion released a trilogy of Buffyverse books, set 20ish years after the show with Willow's daughter as the new slayer, I have been saying they were planning a TV sequel. That Spike was spelled to look "old" and Buffy was missing were huge tip offs to me. Now I see this, and I KNOW I'm right. Looks like Disney and SMG had some negotiating to do lol Who's ready?! I sure am! ?

December is chaos, but the Martian always settles me a little 😌

The descriptive writing in this book has its moments, and I was very swept up in it for the first half. But sometimes, it does feel like she's typing with one hand and holding a thesaurus with the other. Idk that I need a simile on every page.

If anyone is looking for Christmas Cozy audiobooks on audible this season, 23 are included in the membership 🎄 I've just added a couple to my library even though I probably won't have time to check them out lol

I was in need of a fairytale, and this provided; going above and beyond to give me a fun and immersive experience. It puts such a creative spin on Snow White, with intriguing twists and a tough, likable protagonist. I enjoyed Cinderella is Dead, too, so I hope she writes more of these standalones!

In spite of all the evidence that humanity has made great strides towards equality, empathy, and self-awareness, the most powerful country in the world once again stands for oppression, sexism, racism, and corruption.
I am as surprised as I am not at all.
And yet, my heart is broken.

I am Canadian, so while today's very big and very important US election will impact my country, the fact is I have absolutely no say in what happens down there. All I can do is sit, wait, and hope for the best (so, yeah, KAMALA PLEASE!!). That said, this audiobook is the perfect read while I practice patience. Love and patience to all you American Littens today 💖 vote, vote, vote!

Appointment-waiting is never fun, but at least I have a fun book to keep me company. Excited to see how this Buffyverse trilogy ends and even more excited to get it in before spooky season is over 🦇🌕🦇

This is a tough one to review. I have a lot of mixed feelings. For the most part, this was a solid slasher filled with Halloween thrills. I was prepared to give it 4 stars... until the very last page, which made me want to scream in frustration! I'm so disappointed 😞 Now I hear that Preston does this a lot, and I am NOT here for it, so this will be my first and last of hers!

It's been years since I read this #standalone zombie book, but I recall it being a very slow burn that I couldn't put down. A close examination of death and grief that stops just short of being a full zombie apocalypse story.

Not loving the narrator's voice for this character. No shade to her, but she sounds about twice the age of the character, and it's a little distracting in that I have to keep reminding myself that the character is only my age, and clawing onto that mental image.
