Had the characters in this story been just out of college I think I would have had fun reading this, but I just couldn‘t fall into characters in their 40s carrying on this way. It was also too clear from the beginning how this would end.

This book has me rolling. I swear the fan girl in me is hollering. I can‘t with this book 😂 glad to@finish July with this book. The humor was nice, in the beginning I wasn‘t sure how this story was going to come along, but the ebb and flow came together.

Welp I would fully support this. I mean seriously 🥰 do not get me started on how epic this would be. Maybe Marvel Character - Dr.Fate 🥰 this book got fangirling.

Lol i got to read some amazing books so far from short stories, duology, & a book about cosplayers around #sdcc time. 🖤 now let‘s see a what gal has to do to Marry the yummy Keanu Reeves and ice cream and with a hint of murder.

Does this get any better?? I'm about 18% in and....not loving it. It's kinda awful so far. I'm wondering what BOTM was thinking with this one. Maybe it gets better?

Ok I almost bought this from #BOTM last year & I‘m glad I didn‘t! I grabbed the #audiobook for this & I actually think that made it worse! I‘m all for a bit of fantasy but I just could not take this seriously because there is no way these people are in their 40s. They really sound like early 20s at the most and the dialogue makes them sound like teenagers. I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn‘t! My first pan of the year. 🤷🏻‍♀️2⭐️

This book is quite an irrational adventure.

Like Lu, Keanu Reeves was my first and longest love. So naturally, I loved this book. The characters were sweet, heartbreaking, and lovely. 4 🌟 #BOTM

First of all, I love that the characters were in their 40s (even if Bethany Lu rarely acts like she's grown). This was fun and ridiculous, with lots of celebrity pop ups (the Jason Momoa/Lisa Bonet one hurt though, since they recently split... sigh). This is a book to have fun with!

Productive reading over the last couple weeks. Finished several things I‘d started and set aside for various reasons. The tagged had an outrageous premise and was over the top and exaggerated, but it made me laugh for those reasons so giving it a pick. Because yes, anyone would drop everything to chase down a celebrity crush and beg him not to get married or retire, and of course your male bestie would accompany you. lol

I tried. I put it down after page 25, and read again to page 63. I just couldn‘t connect with the characters, and the conversations they had were cringe-worthy. I felt like the author just couldn‘t figure out what direction she wanted to take. I got 5 words for #WGwordsearch & another bingo before bailing.

🎧 11 days ago I nearly panned a similar rom-com.

This one didn‘t let me down, it‘s exactly what I thought it‘d be.

I didn‘t like the 40-something MC blurting out her inner monologue & then acting like, did I say that? It‘s another ditzy woman pursued by a man for 20 years, just as friends. I‘m thinking that I don‘t like this trope.

It was better than TPWMOV! She met Marvel characters while on the hunt for Keanu? Clearly ridiculous! 😆

Rom-coms are generally cute and predictable, and this one is no different, but I can appreciate a MC so enamored with Keanu Reeves that she goes on a cross-country trip to try to meet him. Believe me, I would do the same if I could! 😂
