Good YA that is the third book in a series. A LOT of characters to keep up with though

Listening to this installment as an #audiobook was weird at first because I read books 1 & 2 in print. And it took some getting used to listening to the characters being voiced by the narrators. That said, I appreciated the flow of this book more than book 2, and felt the author made up for the awfully abrupt ending of it. I actually quite liked how all the storylines came together this go round and how the author wrapped them up nicely.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great ending to a good series. Someone does come back and makes all kinds of threats. There‘s also someone kidnapping members of the “Bayview Four”, some of them ending up dead. To me, this one is a bit more intense than the first two. I enjoyed the series despite it being YA #SeriesLove2024 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView
“The third time‘s a charm.
It‘s been almost two years since Simon died in detention, and the aftermath has been hard to shake. First the Bayview Four had to prove they weren‘t killers. Then a new generation outwitted a vengeful copycat. Now the entire Bayview Crew is back home for the summer, and everyone is trying to move on.
Only, this is Bayview, and life is never that simple.”
Finally finished the book and I have to say I didn't see the ending coming. When I knew this book was about someone coming back I wasn't sure of the direction but there were certainly some unexpected twist that I didn't see coming but I loved the book for sure.
It‘s that time! So I‘m listening to the above to finish the trilogy and cross off #atleastfourdifferentPOV for #52in522024
It took me a bit to get into this one. It felt a little forced at times but I was happy with it overall. The first in this series is still my favorite.

Hey everyone. Life caught up, and I was too busy. But it‘s great to be back! I hope to be more consistent. This was a good book. Hopefully it‘s the end of the series but I can see the book having another mystery to look forward to.
Rating: 4/5
Found a beautiful little park near the school I‘m working at for the next few weeks. New favorite spot 💚
#bookhaul because of buy three get one free…but I would have bought them anyway. Obviously.
I anxiously await each installment of the octogenarian Thursday Murder Club so I thought I‘d be amiss to skip the current installment of this teenage murder club. It was all right, but I thought it tried to hard to give the series characters (even the dead ones) air time. I think I‘d have been more engaged if it only carried the characters necessary for this particular story.
7 chapters in and im loving the book so far. I feel like I know what direction its going but I also feel like big twist are coming
Here‘s my September #TBRtarot book.
Very difficult to remember all the characters even with the character list.
Unpredictable but not entirely engaging either.
I simply can‘t get enough of these characters and their story! Cooper has had my heart since the first chapter of book one. I can‘t believe that that stand alone became a three book series, giving me this. I could read about these characters forever, but I do think they deserve a break after all they‘ve been through. This book was thrilling, suspenseful, and shocking, as are all Karen‘s books. These characters are some of my favourites.
𝟐⭐
- ya mystery thriller...putting the Y in YA
- flowchart-worthy amount of characters
- lies, love & games that people play
Ok, I swear this is the last book by this Author I‘m going to listen to because she's just not working for me anymore. I think I said this when I finished her last book😏 I guess, I just felt like I needed to finish the series…but it turns out I could‘ve passed on this one and been just fine.
- The narration was fantastic.
It took a while to remember what happened in the first two books but it was talked about enough to remind me who was who and what happened. I loved this book just as much! Found out some new twist and explanations from the first two as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bk1 of August & #Rushathon #readathon is done. The last in the Bayview trilogy, it wasn‘t quite up there with the 1st & about on par with number 2. It was nice to get closure with the characters & story, just wasn‘t as good as I‘d hoped. The trilogy is still well worth a read though. #BookspinBingo #SeriesLove2023
Love her books but it had been so long since I‘d read the first 2 in this series that I had to take notes as there are a LOT of characters! Jake is out of juvie after a horrible crime and “the gang” of kids is a little scared, but there‘s always more to the story than what‘s revealed on the surface! Intriguing, funny, and convoluted, the novel doesn‘t disappoint!

Bk3 of my #BookMail is the 3rd in the One Of Us Is Lying trilogy. It may be a few years since the Bayview Four were accused of murder but as Simon said, secrets always come out eventually. When a billboard goes up that says “Time for a New Game Bayview” they assume it‘s a bad joke. But when one of them goes missing, this ‘game‘ just get serious, and they don‘t know the rules. Love these books a lot, her writing is intense.
A couple of days ago when I posted my review for this book, I forgot to add that this book was my last one for #pop23 (book that comes out in the 2nd half of 2023)! I am done with the main prompts…still have a couple of advanced ones, but I never sweat those. Therefore, I consider the challenge wrapped!
Perfect installment to amazing series with characters you missed :)
Great job on your books McManus!
Loved this last installment of the One of Us is Lying series! There was one twist that was so good!

“One of Us is Back” is the third book in the “One of Us is Lying” series, and arguably the best. Life hasn‘t been easy for the Bayview Crew. First they had to prove they weren‘t killers. Then a new generation had to outwit a vengeful copycat. Now, it‘s beginning again.
3 ⭐This was the ending of a trilogy no one was seeking. The readers are back with both gangs from the first two books that are all now mingled together as the Murder Crew. A billboard says, a new came is started and there is just one rule… It was nice to revisit the characters that I loved from the first book, and the ones I liked from the second book. There are just a few new characters in this book, but the love just isn‘t there. Most of
