This was more enjoyable than the first. It was full of adventure and intrigue. I usually don‘t enjoy time travel novels, but this one I enjoyed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This felt a little pointless to me and I think the first book would manage as a stand-alone quite well. I liked the new places we got to see but in terms of the plot I wasn‘t too thrilled. A bland experience for me, which is sad because the premise is so damn cool.

I thought this was great. If you're into time travel and myths, give this series a try. Even if you just like a good story, I definitely recommend it. ⛵⚓

I don't know if it's the right word but I just love how passionate and deep Heilig makes the narrating character. I'm still obsessed with the romance in all its cheesy glory

This is a good series! I'm not sure if it's just a duo, or maybe there will be more coming? Maybe I'll be able to tell by the time I finish. Almost there!

Another time-travel fantasy that I wanted to love, but just could never get fully invested in. I loved the folklore and mythology, the writing was good, and the characters are diverse and well-developed (especially Kashmir, charming rogue that he is).

I hate stories centered on time travel. I find them convoluted and hard to follow. If that‘s your jam, though, definitely give this one a look.

“What is history but a fable agreed upon?” In this compelling sequel to The Girl from Everywhere, history and fable become an intriguing tangle as 16-year-old Nix tries to change a tragic prediction about her future by sailing with her crew to a mythical island city where a historical figure claims he can change the past. Yes it‘s a wild premise, but Heidi Heilig pulls it off with such evocative intricacy that I almost wonder if she lived it. 😉

I love the characters in this book and really enjoyed it. But, part of my enjoyment was marred, by my own poor memory of what happened in the previous book. All books with more then one, should have a one page synopsis at the front. Regardless, I love Nix. Female pirate time traveler, need I say more?

This book was wonderful. I didn't realize before I started reading that this was the second in a series. I look forward to reading the first book. I really liked this original take on time travel.

Another book finished. This series is getting more and more interesting as it progresses. It was fascinating to see familiar characters grow and change, and how other characters were added to complete the growing tapestry. This whole concept is otherworldly, but the way it is written, it almost makes me wish it was possible. And the ending... #YA #timetravel #adventure 4/5 ⭐❤️⛵

Ah, Nix. You are such a cool character (in theory), but seriously girl, must there be this much ANGST?? 🙄🙄
I don't often feel too old for the YA reads I pick, but this time I do. I did finish it and liked it better than the first book, but it only gets an extra 1/2 ⭐️
Might recommend it to a younger reader though, because #pirates + #timetravel screams YES and I want someone to love this even if I didn't!

Just finished the audio book of The Ship Beyond Time, and it was a worthy follow up to its predecessor, The Girl From Everywhere. Time travel via ship, questions of fate verses choice, beautiful language, and interlocking story and timelines (not to mention traveling to exotic locales). While I'd love a third book, I don't know if one is planned. #audiobook #timetravel #amreading #sequel

What an awesome sequel/conclusion to this story! Her writing is beautiful. She makes me want to be Nix!

Laalaleighh Did you feel like the ending gave you everything you wanted or are you hoping for one more book to tie everything up? 6y
NovelGirl82 @Laalaleighh I really feel like there's room for another book to tie up some loose ends. This was supposed to only be a duology, but I'm hoping she'll change her mind. What do you think? 6y

This book was a good sequel. It picked up in a good place and answered questions I did not realize I had. The action was good. But the end felt rushed. Things that took a while book before happened almost in a paragraph.
