And so I have begun the ACOTAR series I keep being told about. Am I going to like it?

#acotar #fantasy #romantasy

Elizabeth2 I enjoyed it! My daughter just started reading the series a little over a week ago, and she‘s flying through it. Only the last book to read. She turned to this series after reading the Empyrian series. I hope you enjoy! 5h

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.4-6: definite Beauty & the beast vibes now, as Feyre is forced to go to the Faerie land as prisoner/guest - her punishment for killing a faerie wolf. Of course, she‘s desperate to escape and return to her family - who, let‘s face it, don‘t stand a chance without her. I‘d be soaking in this vacation if I were her…⬇️

StayCurious but Feyre‘s grown up on terrible tales of the High Fae and she‘s even warned by the servant Alis not to trust her senses in Prythian. She‘s terrified and hoping for a chance to flee. Can she do what she‘s told for the time being and not get herself into trouble? 7h
mcctrish I like the fairy tale vibes very much but I totally feel like Feyre should enjoy a bath and some food 7h

CrowCAH I definitely picked up on the BatB theme! It‘s nice she‘s selfless and wants to help her family. It does sound lien they‘d perish without her. 7h
maich She is too strong not to eat. I would have eaten right away.😋 I find these creatures interesting. I don't think she'll be able to resist talking. Tongue will either get her into trouble or save her. Interesting that the High Fae took pity on her. I'm really curious to see how it will unravel. 7h
LiseWorks I'm not sure if she should even escape. I would like to know why they brought her there. And why was that wolf there. Didn't he sense her there while he was goi g after the deer? 6h
StayCurious @LiseWorks I guess it comes down to - will she really be free if she stays? I‘d happily be a prisoner - bring on the food! 6h
BarkingMadRead I would so be living it up without all of that responsibility! 5h
OriginalCyn620 I‘m wondering if the tales of the High Fae were greatly exaggerated, or maybe they once were true but aren‘t any longer? At any rate, I‘m loving the vibe of this book so far! And I understand why Feyre is wanting to flee because of said stories, but I agree with @BarkingMadRead - she should try to see it as a vacation from all her responsibilities and her horrible family. 😂 4h
vonnie862 I don't blame her for being hesitant. If I'm taken against my will, I would be on my highest alert, even if my "prison" is a nice place. My question is, why was she taken and not killed? Why was she told that she was not a prisoner? 3h
maich @vonnie862 I wanted to know that too. Why was she treated like a high Lady and not prisoner or slave. So many questions.🤔 @StayCurious yes bring the food. She'll never be hungry again. 27m
SarahBookInterrupted Yes, I love the Beauty and Beast vibe and so far love it. I‘m with @BarkingMadRead too. This girl needs the vacation!! now

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.1-3: what an interesting beginning! A lot of information but it was delivered in a blunt, easy way so it was easy to follow. I hate her family - I feel bad that Feyre (pronounced Fair-ruh) is taking care of them and feels bound to them and bound to her terrible existence. They‘re useless. I said it. But A promise is a promise and Feyre made a serious one to her mother - ⬇️

StayCurious probably because the woman realized they would die without help. I appreciated the world building the author did - I‘m interested to see where this is going, especially considering how Ch.3 ended. I think we can all agree that Feyre is meant for more than this life. 1d

mcctrish Serious Cinderella vibes but with a useless dad instead of an evil stepmother, not sure what‘s worst. We knew that wolf would be trouble 1d
Read4life This is a reread for me. I‘m interested to see how it compares to my first read. 1d
LiseWorks This is the kind of book I love. I had the same vibe with Cinderella and her stepsister. Dear Lord, they're useless. I kind of wonder about that wolf. 1d
OriginalCyn620 Yes, definitely some Cinderella vibes. And I know that Feyre made a promise to her dying mother, but the disrespect is unbelievable! I‘d either rip them all new ones or leave them to die…I guess Feyre is a better person than I am! 😂 1d
vonnie862 This reminded me more of the original Beauty and the Beast story. Beauty was the kind one while her sisters were mean. 1d
StayCurious @vonnie862 that‘s what I thought of too 1d
Cupcake12 After all the hype surrounding the book I‘m glad to start reading it. I‘m not normally a fantasy reader but I‘m intrigued to see where this story will go. 1d
maich @vonnie862 It is Beauty and the beast retelling. Sisters give me the same vibe. I'm reading slovenian edition and hate that they wrote different pronounce. Now I'm confused how to say it. I like the beginning of the story and can't wait to see what happend next. I love fantasy so I'll probably enjoy in tis journey. 1d

#25Alive! Day 26: My #GuiltyPleasure that I have not even started reading yet since practically all of the young people I know have been raving about #Acotar. Is it really worth all the hype, fellow readers?

LMJenkins I enjoyed it! When I read it, it was not my typical genre, but it really sucked me in and what can I say? It was a pleasure to read it. Best literature, I‘ve ever read, no. But that doesn‘t matter. I had fun and it was a fantasy and I liked it. 2w
GatheringBooks @LMJenkins that is really good to know. Being lost in books is the best feeling. I enjoy fantasy and world building so i hope i can get to this series soon enough. 2w
Butterfinger I'm not one who likes graphic spicy scenes, so i usually only read YA fantasy.. There's a lot of spice, but I love the characters. I never thought I would cry while reading a fantasy, BUT I bawled during the very last book of the series. 2w

Wasn‘t sure how to tag this, since it incorporates two different books.

Pickpick

Possibly my favourite book of the series (probably tied with Frost and Starlight). This book has so many ups and downs, and so much character development. I seriously could not put it down. It was lovely, and frustrating, and happy. The happy-ish ending is well earned by everyone, most especially Nesta. I love the new Valkyries! I can‘t wait for the next book. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

GingerAntics I was not a fan of Stina Nielsen narrating. It was overly dramatic to the point of distraction in places. Other times, it was exactly as if needed to be. I really hope the next book switches back to either of the previous narrators. I‘m sure Nielsen is a good narrator for other books, but this one just wasn‘t quite her wheelhouse. #SarahJMaas #ACourtOfSilverFlames #ACOTAR #Nesta #Cassian #Nessian #audiobook (edited) 5mo
