Bk4 of #NovelNovember #Bk2 of #ProgressItNovember is done! I‘ve been waiting 7yrs for the 21st Phryne mystery, while it took a few chapters to get going, it didn‘t disappoint. Phryne & Dot travel to Daylesford in Victoria‘s alpine country to inspect a spa looking after shell shocked soldiers, a cause close to Miss Fishers heart. Doesn‘t take long for murder & mystery appear. Meanwhile, Jane, Ruth & Tinker get involved in the death of a classmate.

Wow. This book completely drew me in. I finished it & looked up to realise it was 7am & I hadn‘t moved from the same spot since I‘d started at midnight. #Bk2 of the #24in48 #readathon is finished! I love MurderBot so much, this is No3 of 4 in the novella series & I was sad to think there were no more. But hope rings eternal or some such, apparently the author is now writing a full MurderBot novel!🥳 The SecUnit calling herself MurderBot is still on a mission to make the company pay that tried to kill her & her humans. But pretending to be a human is so tiring. Yet another @Liberty golden recce.

I‘m so happy that Connelly has gotten over his slump of writing. Some of his last Bosch books weren‘t great at all, but this Renee Ballard book was fantastic. Though, it does at times feel like a female Bosch, the story & writing are up to his original level, which is a relief. Ballard is a great addition to Connelly‘s cast of characters. Finally on the downslope of the migraine I‘ve been nursing since yesterday & pairing my current read with a Chamomile Honey & Vanilla tea. This book is for the #FemaleDetective prompt in #Booked2019 and is #Bk2 in my #MtKilimanjaro #MountTBR2019 The first book featuring Detective Renee Ballard, a cop who‘s busted down to the night shift after filing a harassment complaint on her LT, she catches 2 unrelated cases & finds connections between them.
