Looks like the rate at which I‘ve been tearing through books is slowing down. Hopefully I can still eek out one bingo by the end of the month.

A master criminal has set his sights on stealing the Crown Jewels. I have read all of the other books in the Detective William Warwick series. This is book #6 in the series by Jeffrey Archer. Archer is a master entertainer at telling stories. I love his books and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

EadieB If you want to know if stealing the Crown Jewels is possible, then read this book. You will not be disappointed and will get a real enjoyment out of reading a story written by Jeffrey Archer. 4mo
Andrew65 This was an excellent read, but then again the whole series is. I thought this was a cleverly written book taking in a potential theft of the Crown Jewels. 4mo

#12BooksOf2023 #BooksSpinBingo #SeriesLove2023

Victoria Barnett has it all. A great career. A handsome and loving husband. A beautiful home in the suburbs and a plan to fill it with children. Life is perfect—or so it seems. Then she‘s in a terrible accident… and everything falls apart. Now Victoria is unable to walk. She can‘t feed or dress herself. She can‘t even speak. She is confined to the top floor of her house with twenty-four-hour care.

EadieB Sylvia Robinson is hired by Victoria‘s husband to help care for her. But it turns out Victoria isn‘t as impaired as Sylvia was led to believe. There‘s a story Victoria desperately wants to tell... if only she could get out the words. Then Sylvia discovers Victoria‘s diary hidden away in a drawer. And what‘s inside is shocking. I love Freida's books and I am aiming to read everyone she wrote. 4mo
EadieB I'm now on my 9th book and so far they have all been winners. This one is no different. A shocking book turns into a book that moves quickly. You don't really know if the husband or the wife is the problem. You need to read this yourself in order to see what I mean. It's one hell of a good book and I can't wait to read my next Freida McFadden book. If you like suspense with your psychological trillers then you will love this book. 4mo

I read this novel long time ago. I forgot how terrible Mr Heathcliff was and how dysfunctional, violent, co-dependent these relations were. But thinking about the author, how brave she was to write in a novel about these topics was incredible and she was young. I think I need to re-read it in the future after maybe read more about the author. I will need, of course, another beautiful edition. I read the Thomas Nelson edition. 4⭐️

Tamra Love that edition & the novel! 1y
Gissy @Tamra I have various titles from the same special edition. I decided that I will read some of my special editions, when I die, many years for that I hope😜🤣 books probably will end in the recycle bin or in a charity store that we don‘t have many here. They don‘t read or have the passion for books as I have🤷🏽‍♀️So now is the moment to appreciate those beauties😍I really enjoyed that novel with that terrible character. I‘m glad I re- read it🤗 1y

Mixed feelings. As most of the time happens to me in short stories collection books, I only liked some stories. But I enjoyed 6 out of 9 stories where some were better. I could say the topic of grief and solitude was pretty common specifically in those stories I loved. The book has not the best review ratings but I still like this author writing style. I will like to try another book. Well, I have 2 more books by this author☺️3.6⭐️That cover😍

Andrew65 Well done, I still have one of his books to read. 👏👏👏 2y
