pick4.5 ⭐ This would be so much fun at story time. For me this would probably go on rotation. The cadence is masterful the rhymes all work. Add the illustrations in this book are close to perfect. It‘s funny it‘s entertaining. It has heat and not only will kids, but I and other adults will love it too.
pick4 ⭐Jane Yolen is a master storyteller. Along with the illustrator in less than 20 words, they can have a book from beginning to end. It‘s a perfect book for bedtime for that last push right before sleep.

I might need to buy this one for my niece. The big brother is telling a story and does a fabulous job telling and rhyming. And then the sister interupts. This happens frequently and the brother goes with it and changes his story to match his sisters in interjections. But by the end, the brother is fed up until he realizes how much of a genius his sister is. This book is genius. Flat.It has an amazing story and great illustrations.

pickOp shop scores from a wk ago at Salvos Charlestown. Sometimes I‘m lucky enough to find clothes that fit me in the kids section which means they are cheaper eg. The striped 👗. I bought it to wear to work as it‘s cotton & we don‘t have air conditioning in many rooms at 🏫. It was only $4 & is size 16 kids. I did a demi character in my last 🩰 exam as a kid to 🌅 Boulevard 🎶 so keen to 🎧 to that again after so long! The socks are for my nephew 🎣
Wishing all of you on Litsy the happiest new year! This year, I‘m hoping to get back into more classics after giving myself a bit of a break over the last couple years. I want to reread all of Jane Austen‘s work to celebrate her 250th birthday, tackle Proust‘s Swann‘s Way, Dickens‘ Hard Times, and a few others that have sat on my TBR too long.
