Great story to use with children to work with them on their rhyming and rhyming words
“Some have two feet some have four. Some have six feet and some have more.”
This nook is a rhyming story that is incredibly pleasing for children to hear. The rhyming in this nook is very memorable and melodic which is pleasing to the reader and listener.
July 18 #SummerSpecial Summer Sport The best summer sport for me is fishing. It is the test of knowledge and patience. And to get to see your surroundings. My grandson loves this book. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
This is the only book I have read this month with fish, so another bingo for #ISpyBingoMarch @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks also got 2 more bingos for #MarchMadnessBingo @Andrew65 @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES only missing two spots, I haven't read any 500 page books this month and all books met my expectations
My precious little nephew loves rhymes, but I must admit this one almost did me in 😅 He's not even two months yet but we're not wasting any time getting started reading to him.
Jan 15 #BeginsWith One one of the books I can't wait to explore with my new grandson. It's one of the many favorite from my childhood. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
This was one of favorite Dr. Seuss books. We read it so much it came apart and we had to get a new copy. #WindsOfMarch Day 2
We will get there on upside down and right side up #raisereaders #Becklovesbooks
I never feel guilty for reading when my daughter is around. They pay close attention to what we do and want copy the behavior. She‘s just learning to read and it is so much fun to see her progress!
One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish is a P book written by Dr. Seuss! This book is great for beginning readers and a super fun RA book to read to your class! This books tells the story of Jay and Kay and all of the amazing creatures that they have for pets. Not only are these creatures pets, but they are also friends. Read the book to see all the different types of friends Jay and Kay have!! #ucflae3414su20
As Clark is an often-used family name in my clan, this page made my brother, cousins, and I howl with laughter as a kid. I still have a soft spot for the whole book. #DrSeuss #MagnificentMarch

You know you‘re a Book Nerd when...
You guys, my brother sent me this picture. I tried to say, “Big fish!” My phone autocorrected it to “Big Grisham!” (I‘ve never even read a John Grisham novel. 🤷♀️😅)
I had no idea Dr. Seuss had such a long writing history. 1937- 1990 😲

Trying to get a mark for the #scarathlon scavenger hunt for number in title! Read this one to my little gal to achieve it. 3 points for #teamslaughter @Clwojick
Already loving this book! The rhyme the rhythm are perfect, and the words coincide with the pictures!

1. 1 Fish, 2 Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish & Where the Wild Things Are & Are You My Mother?, & so so many others!
2. Good Omens, or anything by Douglas Adams.
3. Horns by Joe Hill, or the Cormoran Strike series.
4. Potato, egg, and cheese tacos or everything bagel with scrambled egg on top.
5. @Kayla.Adriena @vivastory @gradcat @sudi and so so many others, tag you're it!

1. Somewhat. I did a MAJOR cull earlier this year and brought it down from a genuinely unreasonable almost-2000 to a still-unreasonable-but-I-pretend-it's-not 432 (although that's just the books I don't own and doesn't count books I already own, series of books, mystery series, or nonfiction... whoops)
2. Mostly I've tried to get more selective about only adding books I genuinely think I will enjoy -
1. That I interact with most often are my friends Lori & Desiree. We were the 3 amigos in junior high! We've all been friends for 25 years!
2. Arizona, last year.
3. Coffee. Reminds me of every morning when I'm not at work yet. 😆
4. Probably 1 Fish, 2 Fish or some other kids book that I read to my tots. Sadly, I haven't finished any other kind of book so far in June.

We see them come.
We see them go.
Some are fast.
And some are slow.
I really like Dr. Seuss books because the words have such a great flow to them and rhyme so naturally. It seems like it's made to read out loud to kids.
Dr. Seuss has this fantastic (P) book to use in a CR. This book could be used in the classroom to expose P to young students. UDL 5.3 building fluencies and ESOL 4 link lesson topic to prior knowledge will help students learn about the different literary structures. This website provides follow up activities students can interact with after reading to make connections http://m.seussville.com/activities.html #LAE3414sp19

This year I‘ve challenged myself to read all (or what‘s available) of Dr. Seuss‘ published books. A new Dr. Seuss book is due out later this year called Horse Museum.

Congratulations on the milestone! That is awesome!
If you don‘t follow @TheSpineView them head on over and give a follow. There‘s always something interesting to find.
Unfortunately you can‘t have context conversations with readers of this level, like you can with older students. I can‘t help but be disappointed with new children‘s books & series with no/little authentic diversity. I‘m hoping there will be by the time my children are parents of readers.

1. I had so many, but In a Dark, Dark Room and Other Scary Stories was one of them in elementary.
2. Astroworld season passes!
3. Laundry. Going to the laundry mat as a little kid by myself sucked. Still hate laundry to this day
4. Cabbage Patch and Barbie Dolls
5. 🎣🎏 Hard to pick, so I'm going with my favorite to read aloud. I have it memorized from reading so much to my kids!
#hellothursday @wanderinglynn
I seriously love reading bedtime stories to this guy, and how much he loves them. 😍
1. I absolutely loved Dr Suess as a child. This book and In A People House were my favorites.
2. Pie! Although I'll never turn down a nice cupcake.
3. Fishing, hiking, wildlife photography.
4. Tough question. I would love to live somewhere warm, but not hot. Maybe somewhere in the Mediterranean.
5. Happy #friyayintro everyone! 😊

My latest purchases. The Dr. Seuss are for a friend's child in Finland. They will be his first English books. ☺️
Spent some time with my niece today. I am not a kid person so this is all very new for me, but she is pretty cool. 😅 We spent some time passing books back and forth.
1. “Every day, from here to there, funny things are everywhere.” - Dr. Seuss
2. “Life‘s not fair, is it?” - Scar from The Lion King
3. Ummmm I can think of some I mispronounce on purpose just because one of the kids did as a child and we all picked it up because it was funny. One of my favorites is ‘respite‘, otherwise said as ‘rest-bit‘.
4. @Chelleo @cobwebmoth @Karkar
Thanks for the tag, @JenlovesJT47 ! #tuesdaytidbits
When he was younger, Dr. Seuss was his favorite. Now that he‘s 5, he‘s into dinosaurs.
This is a great book to read with your students to get them engaged in poetry. I loved reading this book when I was younger Dr.Seuss wrote amazing books. You could read this P book as a RA. https://earlymoments.com/seuss/list-of-dr-seuss-books1/one-fish-two-fish-fun-act... this website has a bunch of great activities to do with your students.
