pickI borrowed this book from our local library as one of my Random Picks last month and finished it today. It was entertaining and cute as well as unexpectedly touching. I love Madeline a.k.a. Gwen Hathaway and her bard friend, Arthur. A good summer read! #50 #BookSpin #15, #BFC23, #MagnificentMay, #ReadySetRead, #SayMyName, #ReadtheStates Oklahoma

 so-so
so-soA modern interpretation of Anne and Gilbert‘s love story. Cute, lighthearted, fluffy and forgettable.

 pick
pickThis book kept me guessing all the way through, trying to figure out where the story was going, and how the author was going to reconcile the two storylines and time periods. The ending was a little lame, and still left me with some questions, but overall I enjoyed the book. Looking forward to Sunday‘s discussion!

 pick
pickI loved this book as a child, and perhaps that is why I still find it charming as an adult, despite the underlying political messages of which I am now aware. Thank you to @TheBookHippie for choosing this as a selection for #ChildrensClassicRead2023, and especially for the excellent research about modern interpretations of the book. Fascinating.

Finished all but the 24 hour tagged audio, so I‘ll be bringing it into next week. These were read for #sharreadathon #20in4 & #Jumpstart2023.

 so-so
so-soA book involving both time travel and Jane Austen? Sounded fascinating, but I found the storyline to be as disconnected as the concept. The plot moved in strange directions. And I was surprised to find that I disliked some of the Austen family members, which was disappointing. I also disliked many of the choices the main characters made. #PemberLittens @StayCurious #Booked2023 @Cinfhen @alisiakae @BarbaraTheBibliophage #UKRoadTrip @jenniferw88

pickDay 3 of #JumpStart brought me 4 more books - all off of my #BookSpinBingo list. Karamo was an easy 5 star, read for non fiction, #SayMyName, and #AtoZ LGBTQ+. Book Lovers was also 5/5. Read for my 2022 GoodReads nominees challenge, #ISpyBingo suitcase, and #AtoZ Romance. Scarlet was my first DNF of the year, but was picked to scratch off Classics, #ReadtheRainbow, and #SayMyName. If She Wakes was 3/5 and chosen by #Roll100.
