GingerAntics I seem to be in the minority with this one, in that I loved this book. I thought it was adorable. It seems most people think it‘s not as good as the rest of the Discworld books. 3y

julesG I think it's a solid YA book set on Discworld. Pratchett did a good job writing YA. 3y

GingerAntics @julesG yes this is certainly for a younger audience than the previous discworld books. From some of the reviews I‘ve read here and elsewhere, people didn‘t like that or maybe they weren‘t expecting a MG/YA book. Maybe I had the advantage going in knowing that. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I certainly would have loved this story as a kid. I loved it now, honestly. 3y

jenniferw88 This is one of the few I've read 😂! Definitely suitable for children - I think I was a young teenager when I read it. It was either a Christmas or birthday present - it would have been chosen because of the cat! 😂 3y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I loved it....and I would have loved it as a child too. If only someone had gifted it to me then, it made me think of The Secret of NIMH. 3y

khooliha My brother has a kid who's only 2 at this point, but I'm already planning on giving her a copy of this book. I think this book is great! I think the themes it gets into are really great for kids. 3y

BookmarkTavern This was one of the few Pratchett books I haven‘t read. I was a little surprised by how much I loved it. I think my favorite part of it was that most of the narration was non-human. I think that was a brilliant twist on this story. 3y

gossamerchild I'm not really sure why I didn't enjoy this one that much. I feel like I would've loved it when I was younger. I think maybe because this felt more like a parable or a fable, and those aren't my favorite modes of storytelling. The mice were brilliant though! 3y

This book is an absolute blast. It‘s set in Discworld, but it‘s a much different view of Discworld than we usually get. This is another Pratchett favourite for me. This is pretty much Pratchett‘s take on the talking animals adventure story. He just does it way better because he‘s not trying to be cute, he‘s trying to tell a good story (and he does).

GingerAntics I had a hard time holding myself back on this one, too. I had plenty of time to read a chapter a night and still be done with an extra day to spare, but that timeline didn‘t last long at all. #TerryPratchett #TheAmazingMauriceAndHisEducatedRodents #OokBOokClub #Discworld #SirTerryPratchett @julesG 3y

I‘m starting this one a little late, but I‘m always holding myself back to make these last a month, so I‘m not too worried about it. This one sounds really fun, and I love that the review on the cover is Gaiman.

Gezemice I got a bit confused about which book was when so I just finished this one. It was one of the two Discworld books I have not read, so now I only have The Shepperd‘s Crown left! 3y
