pickI read this in 2013 and I liked it, I may have read more of the series? I can‘t remember, but I have plenty of catching up to do regardless. So since 2006 we as a society are more aware of cultural appropriation & Briggs is not native & the fae are sent to reservations which is… not ideal. Urban fantasy around that time would throw in any & every culture with little to no research, I don‘t know how the indigenous community feels about it here
5feet.of.fury But I did like the story, I like Mercy. The world is pretty well rounded, she‘s underpowered (at least here) so she has to use her wits & connections which helps with the plot. 2d
