Here I come again...like the song, trying to review all the books I read in 2025 task to be completed by tomorrow😱In 2026 reading goals this will be improved. Good news, I didn‘t read much this year😅
May 2025 Book #1 I started the book the previous month but finished it on May. Like this author‘s writing style. Stories are inspired on real facts and it‘s interesting to search for the real facts while reading. I liked the twists and ending. 4⭐️

I enjoyed this historical fiction about a brother and sister who work at Bletchley Park while also trying g to unravel the mystery of their mother‘s disappearance. There‘s lots of interesting information about codes and code breaking. I agree with some other reviewers that the ending is a bit rushed, but overall it‘s a great story with an interesting group of characters, including mentions of a few real people who worked at Bletchley Park.

The history seemed well researched, but the ending... I expected something more.

A very fun and interesting book. Set just after WWII, not a time I‘ve read a lot about, featuring a group of mostly women code breakers working to identify Soviet spies in a top secret group.

🌹In our home we got a morning newspaper and an evening newspaper. That meant me begging someone to read the comics to me x2/day!! Also loved any book about kittens or pups.

Carryover read from 2024. Overall, a good middle grade book set at Bletchley Park. There‘s a mystery element, along with code breaking and ciphers. It seemed like the ending was a bit rushed. Still, fun read.

I finished this at my parents‘ house with one of their cats Della on my lap.

This was a riveting story of codebreaking, spies, and a country under pressure from its enemies. There was a fantastic blending of historical information with fascinating characters and a well-paced plot. I do wish the ending had been tied up a bit better.

Middle grade historical fiction set at Bletchley Park during WWII. Lizzie is a clever girl who escapes her guardian who is supposed to take her from London to her grandmother in Cleveland. She joins her brother, a code breaker, at Bletchley Park and investigates their mothers disappearance.
