What an incredible last book of 2024! I could tell within the first couple of paragraphs that this book is special. It has a vibrant energy radiating off the page, as if the words and characters could spring to life and waltz right into your heart. And I think they did?! Aardvark Book Club's November challenge was a challenge! I only had the vowels e and a to work with. The challenge was to come up with a word stacking Aardvark books and using the first letter of the first word of the title. Each letter was worth a certain number of points. I came up the word watercress for 15 points.

pickI am always pleased to read Schwab stories. She is a very gifted writer. She crafts vivid imaginative worlds with complex plots and supernatural or paranormal elements that permit her readers to flee into a realm beyond reality.
