It's a story about families and all the messy and beautiful ways they are formed. This was a quick read, and while I am conflicted about India, the mc, I loved the kids and their voices. This was my March #Bookspin @TheAromaofBooks

Read this 4 book club! I really liked it! It‘s a family saga, but not a long, drawn-out one. It‘s very accessible. A lot of characters to get used to at 1st but it gets easier. I‘ll be eager to hear what ppl thought of Lila & her way of parenting. It has a satisfying end. Some heavy topics at times but very well done! 4 stars.
I loved this book just like I loved Laurie Frankel‘s last novel. She paints such compelling and honest portraits of families.
I loved this…a lot. This multi-generational family story centers around Lila and Grace, and how looking for a connection and trying to figure out the past can lead you to information you might not want to find.
The supporting characters on this story were amazing, also! I chuckled every time “The Starbirds” made an appearance.
Read this!

Currently reading…Loving the banter and the complicated family dynamics on this one!
I enjoyed this #aardvark pick. Contemporary fiction with a bit of a mystery at its heart.
Powerful newspaper editor Lila dies leaving her family reeling, especially her youngest daughter Grace who recently published an autofictional book about the family. Grace believes her grandmother, who left Lila and her siblings to an abusive father, may still be alive and in hiding.
After seeing so many positive reviews of tagged book, when I came across a signed copy, I just couldn't refuse...
Thank you @monalyisha for running #AuldLangSpine again this year! It‘s such a fun event where you share your list of favorite reads from this year with your match and you read at least one book from each other‘s lists. I‘ve discovered some epic books from this event over the years!! Tagging one of my fave reads of this year—and because Litsy is such a special family!
