Got this for my birthday a few years ago. I was an NSYNC fan and haven‘t missed a tour Justin‘s done (my mom and I went this past summer and it was a blast!). This isn‘t a biography. More musings about his life/music. I enjoyed it though - I love hearing musicians talk about their process and where inspiration comes from

Bookwormjillk I had no idea he wrote a book 4h
TheDaysGoBy @Bookwormjillk More of a coffee table book with pictures than anything but was still interesting 2h

Such an important read. I like that it is written by a UK author, so she looks throughout the world at this issue. Though unfortunately a lot of this has the US as ground zero. It is things I knew but didn't "KNOW"
Both enraging and informative.
First book for #NFNovember @Bookwormjillk

Bookwormjillk Yikes 😳 Will have to add this to my TBR. 2d
DogMomIrene Given some of the stats I‘m seeing about gender gaps in the US election, I may need to read this sooner rather than later. 1d
ChaoticMissAdventures @DogMomIrene I am glad I read it before today. I don't know if I could get through it after last night. American men really, really hate women 1d

#HyggeHour I got all cozy then actually had to crack a window #yesimalmost50

I had a whole list of nonfiction books to read for #NFNovember but Eleanor Roosevelt‘s book was calling to me from the shelf this weekend. I‘m going to try and finish it up with some fruit, cake, and a mug of mint tea. I took the day off tomorrow for parent teacher conferences so I‘m feeling good, but also apprehensive for the week to come.

TheBookHippie I have fan on 🤣 over 50 🥵 4d

The Talk | Darrin Bell
post image

A beautifully realized graphic memoir about growing up biracial/Black in America. Bell has always turned his struggles and insights into powerful words and pictures, thereby also earning a living and a Pulitzer prize. But as his baby son gets older, he has to reckon with everything he's learned in order to prepare him for what he'll face. Very touching and meaningful.
