Happy pub day to my friend on her first book! I downloaded my copy today (had it pre-ordered in July). I went to college with Brittany and never knew any of this about her until after I left the school and engaged with her on Instagram. She has a weekly substack if you're interested in that too...
5 stars for memoirs, because who am I to judge one's life experience. I wish the dates were clearer through the book, but overall it was great!
I've followed Jenny L Howe on Instagram since before this book came out, but am only just now getting around to reading it. I loved it! I cared about the characters and wanted a happily ever after.
This was okay, but not great. I wanted to like the characters, but I never fully got there.

Hey look, it's us. Thanks for being my people!
Spent all day at the ANA World's Fair of Money in OKC with my husband and my dad! It was cool to see so many different coins and currency pieces.
1. Getting a hug from my dad
2. Tag-teaming dinner last night with my son-in-law
3. We have a porch kitty that has hung around
4. My grandson's laugh
5. Brian, always

Low pick. I almost bailed on it in Part 1, but parts 2 & 3 were worth hanging around for.
It's us! Thanks for being my favorite corner of the internet, friends!
I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish this book. Thank God for coffee though! Anywho, this was a good one!

1. I spend my days watching my grandson, Michael. The picture is of the two of us cuddling, post-nap!
2. My mom was mentioned in a book, saving abuse victims. I didn't know that she did that until I read the book. I'm proud of her!
3. Messaging with my daddy.
4. Keeping up with my gratitude journal.
5. Brian, always and forever. ♥️

I'm wanting to listen to more audio books, but I need to be doing something with my hands while I'm listening. I know some people crochet or knit, but that hurts my hands (thanks, fibromyalgia). I've thought about coloring while I listen to them, but want more suggestions! What do you do when you listen to audio books?
I hesitated to read this memoir because I know the people involved and I knew what ultimately happened to the abuser. This book made me cry. My mom is Brandy. Read the book. Buy the book. Believe women.
I loved this book! It was twisty and turny in all the best ways and it had a surprise ending.
My whole family went to the friends of the library book sale today! I restrained myself and walked away with 2 books, one of which is the pictured/tagged book. I'm so grateful that my family likes to read and will support the metro OKC library system!
Changing mental health meds is ridiculous. Currently weaning off the old (takes a week), then starting the new one next Sunday.
Brutal book, but very well written.
We went from empty-nesters (3 years) to full house in less than 3 months. Our son moved back home after graduation from college, in anticipation of getting a local job. Last night, our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson moved in due to major mold damage in their rental. It means the next couple days will be busy packing up the rest of their house, but I get more time with this cutie! We had a great day today!
Happy Mother's Day!
Currently (and slowly) making my way through the tagged book. This was a big weekend for me: my son graduated college on Friday, I found out I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes on Saturday, and today was Mother's Day! It's been a whirlwind of a day, and so beautiful! Enjoy the peony pic from my little garden!
First time posting!
1. Got everything set up for my first craft show this weekend!
2. My grandson, Michael, making me laugh daily
3. My husband who takes care of me when I'm sick.
4. Macaroni and cheese.
5. Sleep!
I loved this short book of poems! I highlighted a couple I don't want to forget, and have really enjoyed almost all of Amanda Lovelace's work!
Intriguing from the beginning!
When the plot of your book happens just a couple days from today... 😅
[Sorry it's turned.]
My momma got married last night and we traveled in for the wedding! She was a stunning bride and my new stepdad seems pretty cool too!
My whole body is screaming at me right now (fibromyalgia), which is the only reason I'm still awake.
Anyway, the book is good too! Off now to read before falling asleep! Love you, littens! ❤️
I'm not much of a poetry reader, but I did enjoy several of these poems.
It was a good book! I don't normally read fantasy books so I found it hard to get into it, but it was a pleasant book to read on occasion. I probably won't continue with the series though.
Currently reading tagged book and trying to get caught up on #LitsyLove! These are the letters going out tomorrow.
I had an eye doctor appointment this morning, then spent the rest of the day helping my husband start 2 separate businesses! He is doing lawn care for our local area, and he is wanting to buy and sell coins and collectibles. Find his coin business on Facebook @ All Things Historic of you want to help support us! Because I've been so busy today, I'm not very far into the tagged book, but I'm enjoying it so far!! 💜💙
Great slow burn romance, but needed an editor. Some parts felt repetitive and clunky.
An amazingly well-written memoir!
I can see why Winnie the Pooh is a childhood favorite. His real name is Edward Bear. That's a thing I learned while reading these stories!
Loved the story and ambiance of this book! Ady is such a cool character, and I wish Sanite was around a bit longer.
Tonight is the anniversary of my uncle's suicide. I'm handling it better than I have in the past (it's the 14th year). I still have anxiety in certain situations. I'm also in a fibromyalgia flare and on my period to top it all off. I'm thankful for my online friends, on all my platforms, for being there. Tell your people you love them before you can't.
I loved Marcellus and Tova! Easy to read, this book will stay with me for a while.
Refusing to watch the inauguration today. Trying to keep from spiraling with the catastrophic thoughts by playing with my grandson, watching comfort shows, and taking things easy. Sending love to all who are needing it today.
A fictionalization of a real story, this was okay. I didn't like the writing style the author chose to use, but I did get used to it.
Fell in the snow today and I have strep throat for the 2nd time in a month. So I'm taking it easy and getting caught up on Grey's Anatomy and reading my Kindle.
I struggle to give memoirs less than 5 stars because the author is writing their lived experiences. I don't have that struggle with this memoir! I loved learning about Ilhan and where she came from.
Today, my precious grandson turned 1! We are celebrating his party tomorrow at the zoo.
Merry Christmas from my little family!
I FINALLY finished this book! I started it about this time 2023 on audio, and then life got in the way of me finishing it then. I bought the Kindle version earlier this year when it was on a great sale, and got around to reading it. I loved being back in Joshi's world, this time following Radha's story (don't worry, Malik and Lakshmi are there too)!
Such a heavy plot, told from a 9-year old's perspective.
I regularly watch Whoopi on “The View“, but I didn't know much about her. I love memoirs because I learn about people!
I used to read Ted Dekker as a high schooler, and I'm glad that he is still able to capture my imagination!
I love hanging out with Michael, my grandson! This is us tonight, while his Mom & Dad are at a concert in OKC. ❤️❤️❤️ sorry it's tilted...
