Having the best day…hoping you are too!

#AuldLangSpine Match is @kspenmoll
Kudos to @monalyisha as I have not read anything on the list but the top book is high on my TBR. Guess this is my sign to finally read it!

Temperature dropped 30 degrees overnight giving me the best reason to stay home and read.

Several friends have sent this to me saying they‘d chose me.
I feel so honored. 🫢

Something to look forward to next year - the next Hunger Games movie.

Stumbled across this pocket park earlier today and all day I‘ve wished I could be reading there.

I wanted to like this one but alas, I did not. 😔

“I found bacon in my mystery novel,” somebody sang.
“A strip of cooked bacon,” Mr. Garland confirmed, opening the hardcover in his hands. “The person who checked this out last must have been using it as a bookmark.”
Can you imagine? 😱🤯🥓

“While the spirit of neighborliness was important on the frontier because neighbors were so few, it is even more important now because neighbors are so many.”
Did you know she kept an audio diary during their White House years? You can learn more via tagged book or this documentary https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RemGvqbr0gc

Not feeling well so I prescribed myself some ice cream and light reading until medicine kicks in.

Starting the weekend off with a little reading.

New fuzzy socks are perfect for early morning reading. 🧦

All the feelings came out with this one…worth it.

This morning I am thankful for …
A new day
Quiet mornings
Good coffee
Sleeping in without an alarm clock
Time to read
Well told stories
And all of you to share it with.

Ube latte named “Silence of the Yams”…love the flavor and especially the pun! 🤣😂

Excited to spot this one on the library shelf today! 👩🚀

Anyone else enjoy reading in coffee shops? 🙋🏻♀️
Not sure if it‘s the snacks, the drinks, or the atmosphere…

Tagged is a fabulous book about ALL the trailblazing facts of Betty Ford. This article gives you a small bit https://www.history.com/articles/betty-ford-legacy-center-cancer-womens-rights

Finding some interesting things during my #audiowalk 👽

So many shocking bits in this book including that Hugh Hefner helped fund the rape kit program.

“One day, you‘ll be scrutinized and scorned, and the next, you‘ll be celebrated and lauded. Sometimes by the very same people. You will not be able to control the narrative, but you can act according to your conscience, particularly in your personal life. And at the end of the day, that should be the only measure that matters.”

It truly is a fascinating tale with a complex legacy for a #firstladies reading challenge.

With a good #audiowalk and a stunning sunset, I had no problem hitting my step goal today.

Impressed by her sense of self and maturity as well as her comments encouraging generational relationships.

“My dear, no one can be trusted with their own heart. That is why we give them to others for safekeeping”

Figured I couldn‘t find a better spot to read this book than this.

This book hooked me from the very beginning. ⛸️⛸️
