There's nothing better than finishing a book and then finding book mail in the mailbox 😁
Gossipy, a little crime solving, and forced family fun--everything a summer read should be. Not a bad way to spend reading time.

That was a slog of a read. I just wanted it to be over. It honestly felt like nothing more than an introduction to new characters for his next book. Which would be cool.

Another worthy #BlameItOnLitsy read! Thanks all 😊
The story really pulled me in from word one. I had a few eye roll moments, but over all I found it hard to put down.

It's a dreary day--perfect for reading!!! Another #BlameItOnLitsy read
From before radio to the smartphone how the world changed and one man exemplified going with the flow. Highly recommended!

Swapping out my #DoubleSpin #MonthlyNonfiction2025 for a #BookSpinBingo nonfiction because mood reading 😂
Not a favorite. The Chilean civil war was interesting; the rest not so much.

I love these quiet stolen reading hours of early Sunday mornings.
The story of friendship will stay with me because it was that good. But the writing was off. I didn't care for the dual timeline because the present parts were boring and flat and felt like they were written by someone else. The ending dragged and I just couldn't wait for it to be over. So disappointing.

My part of house painting is done! ???? Now the Mr. Just has to finish all the parts I couldn't reach, and the cutting in that just isn't my forté ?
I have now moved on to gardening, which I know nothing about ? Taking a break to start the new Backman ?
Very much felt like an elderly coming of age story for 70 year old Tommy who thought he could back to his old life. I kept hearing Billy Joel in my head, "then the king and queen went back to the green, but you can never go back there again." It also felt Twilight Zone-y as Tommy walked around Downtown not understanding why it all looked so different, and feeling like an "old fool" for thinking it'd be the same.
